So, say I had used a VPN to launch my game early and discovered DAI wasn't able to run. Now the launch date for where I am isn't until the end of the week so I'm not sure whether, in that circumstance, I should contact them now and quote the 'within seven days from the game's release date if you pre-ordered' refund request or whether they would be able to see that the game had been launched and refuse a refund?

All theoretical of course. :)

Or within 24 hours of "playing the game" whichever comes first. If it says you played it on your Origin client then you'll need to ask for a refund before 24hrs

But can they then refuse a refund on the grounds I shouldn't have launched it early?

Probably not. Either way, it's probably better to try just in case you try later and they're like 'over 24 hours, lol nope'.

If they refused your refund, it'd likely be more along the lines of "you caused the defect/problem by trying to launch it early"...

I don't understand why you want to return the game. Don't you want to play it in a week?

Why not apply the needed upgrades to have your PC run the game? Its only going to get worse for you, and might as well start now.

Because its a laptop so can't get upgraded and I can't afford a whole new machine right now. I don't buy a lot of games so can't justify the money for a new PC.

This has nothing to do with the VNT (or whatever it's) thank god they inventes that thing, i was able to start the game fine on my brother's PC and my main PC can't even load the main scream.

Yes and sadly I'm an adult with a family and don't have infinite money for gaming....

Sorry that was aimed at Strenff...

The performance isn't anything to do with the VPN. And if they refuse on those grounds....well I don't have any other options.

You've got kids? Well hell, that solves your problem right there. Just put them to work and use the money they earn to buy a new rig. If any one asks questions say it's for their education.

Our hoope is to pray for something that makes it work on dual core computers.

Doesn't hurt to try to get a "early" refund.

Just off online chat to Origin where a lovely gentleman refunded my money, no questions asked. It's already in my Paypal and has begun transferring to my bank account.
