Could be worse. He could have "Bethany Hands". *Shudder* Anything else is an improvement over those.

The next logical step would be allowing males to wear women's dresses and to use makeup in DA4.
They can already use makeup, and dresses would be awesome.

Iron Bull might already be in a dress. I don't see any bloomers under there!

It's either a setting they mucked around with and forgot, or something intentional. Doesn't really matter either way. Don't want your charater to have nail polish, don't have it.

Peoples reaction to this does not surprise me at all. I mean I should be surprised that so many still are so insecure about men and well clothing and makeup usually worn by women, but there's no logic in it.
Then again I don't understand humans obsession to gender everything. It really makes no sense at all.

Its not the act of wearing nail polish that is progress. It is the change to society that would allow it without a bigoted response that would be progress.
Did I say at any point men can't wear nail polish? No, I said I don't consider it progress. There is a very clear difference. You can suit up every day in a pink bunny suit, but I wouldn't call that progress. BTW - you can do that now in our society, doesn't change the fact people will consider you crazy (or silly), for good reason.
Responses here are defensive and people are taking what I said out of context.

Aren't you the one that wants Bioware to give male characters female walking animations? Also isn't it you who complained that the female animations were too manly in cutscenes? Also you wanted the game to allow you the choice of wearing impractical "sexy" armor for women.
Were you not betraying a slight preoccupation with gender norms? If you weren't,then why would you care so much about the female walking animation that you would create a new thread asking for a patch?

Gender is the next frontier on that front. If a man wants to wear nail polish, there's no reason why that should be mocked.
Yes, yes there are. Plenty of reasons.

Well it's a perfect match with the highlights in his coat. Anyway, surprised there is nail polish
. Usually you have to wait for a mod. I do like that color!

Personally I was more annoyed at having to redo my character when I noticed he had decided to put on some lip gloss. ![]()
Totally skipped the makeup menu, thinking it didn't apply... quickly noticed that my square-jawed hero had glossier lips than Leliana and Cassandra. Oops. ![]()

Yes, yes there are. Plenty of reasons.
There are also plenty of reasons to be racist and homophobic, trust me.
