Velanna was a little too... for my own personal taste. Altho' her dialogue with Oghren about where dwraves come from is one of the funnier ones. And Nathaniel shuts her up in the most wonderful way.

Sigrun is one of my most favourite video game characters ever.

Aside from the 'ew' factor, Justice is an excellent character. The problem is what happens to him in between DA:A and DA2.

DA:A had some truly lovely characters.

Velanna was awesome. Sigrun was awesome and funny. Justice was an uptight idiot but that's because he doesn't know how the world works yet. Too bad DA2 turned him into a complete murderer.

Love Sigrun!! Overlooked her on my first playthrough, but really took the time to get to know her on my second, and it was definitely worth it. She's fantastic.

 

Velanna was possibly the DA companion I'm least fond of. Between the enormous chip on her shoulder and being so highly strung, I've never really enjoyed having her around - though I do feel validated if I get her a good epilogue slide.

 

I've never spent much time with Justice as I always get him last.

 Since my canon Warden was Dalish and kills those three humans in the prologue, I was not too harsh with her for killing those humans and attacking my party, so she got to live (I think she dies in every other DA:A play I have done). I did like her. I do not blame her for being jaded and also feel sorry for having her sister taken away like that. While she was often rude, there are some moments that won me over, like when she thinks to use the blank journal gift for recording old Dalish lore and the epilogue slide where she saves some human village. Only regret was that my Dalish Warden could never actually agree with her on things like how corrupt the humans are and that city elves need to stand up for themselves. Instead I got garbage dialogue, always playing the apologist.

 

Sigrun was great. My Warden adored her. So I was stunned when she turned on me over the Architect. I did not change that, either, because I decided I liked having my Warden have to deal with something tragic like having to put down a friend. Justice turned on me, too, leading him (and me) to believe the Dalish were right after all: there's no such thing as a "good" spirit. I do like Justice's character, he is just an antagonist in the stories of my Warden and later my Hawkes.

Really liked Sigrun, didn't much care for Velanna, and I was a little in love with Justice.

I have felt Velannna's pain, but I was a litle angry at her cuz she have done pain to innocents, SPOILER!

 

 

When you are in Amaranthine, and Velanna is in your party, you can convince her and say "Havent you hurt enough innocents?" Or smthing. And if your presuade is high enough, she will say with sad voice "You are right let us save this poor folks" Or smthing. That was what I liked her most in DAO:A

 

 

Btw! I think Velanna is the Dalish Morrigan of DAO:A not think SURE!

 

 

Now for Sigrun many pepole wished to romance Sigrun and I understand them, GOSH she was so cool, friendly and all.

 

I really liked the Justice of DAO:A he was well created and filled with Justice and good will, but I have hated what he have become in DA2

I loved both Velanna and Sigrun, but specially Velanna. Like the other poster said, I hated that you couldn't agree with her when it came to the City Elves or the humans. My character was a Dalish, so they should have had many things to talk about.

 

I don't particularly care about Justice.
