I'm not a pen and paper player, though I do love the D20 style that D&D implements. The games I've played with it have been fantastic and extremely fulfilling with tons of variation and customization. Games I've played with trees promote stale cookie cutter builds and I don't even understand how people like games based on gear so much. It makes zero sense to me. Just moving from point A to point be, button mashing and picking up gear, your entire character effectiveness being reliant on random drops. It's repetitive, thoughtless and leaves you to grind the same **** over and over. It's either insanity or marketed towards autistics.

As it stands, this is a horrible RPG and a mediocre action game, but a brilliant medieval fantasy hiking simulator.

I don't find it fun, but at the same time I don't find it wrong. 

 

Gathering materials for crafting is one of the basic fundamental building blocks of an RPG. It has been around for as long as I can remember when it comes to RPGs.

 

At no point should this underlying feature ever be removed from an RPG. Especially just because people feel too lazy to actually do it.

I agree with you (most of it ). I love DA series (even worst DA2). But i cant fell in love with this game.

1. For me RPG is about STory, i hate to roll play in bad story line. It like you play a main character in stupid low budget movies. In DA inquisition the story is fine (not mature enough) but it Told in a bad way. The script and dialogue suck it like a child play.

2. Animation? Well i hate mass effect animation. This game seem to have use the same animator. Most of animation seem out of place for me.

3. Gameplay? Well that a long story

This game on pc seem like a port game with pain in the ass controls .they want player to use tactics in nightmare? With that awkward animation , camera and control? No thank.
I think creator want to make this game realistic, by make it hard for you to do simple task like loot and change equipment. Wow you take time when you change your cloth right? Wow so realistic.or the system suck.
Wow it deep **** RPG game with advance tech but i cant customize my character? Wow i cant even choose my own attribute , i cant even choose my character trait? Personalities? Class bonus? Wtf have you ever play Diablo3 when it first release? Look at what happen to that game.
This game feel like a patch up game to me. They take something from The Witcher something from Masseffect and try to challenge BG series? WTF you try to challenge Bg with this crap? Have you ever create something by yourself? Not just copy other game idea and make it like a port game for console.

Well im just a minority plz do not mind me if you love the game so much it just not click for me. Sry for my bad english.
