The game (fresh from day one) is showing its "console roots". The people/npcs are all nice looking robots. Another point is that everything in this world seems so "clean". It seems to be a Bioware thing. After a few patches and maybe some mods-if that is possible in this game-we will have a very good game to play.

Its a very good game, way better than DA 2. It is a must have if you are a RPG fan and need something to play until Witcher 3.
My main complains are regarding the awkward mouse/keyboard controls and the weak tactical combat. If this game had the tactical approach of Divinity: Original Sin, would be a masterpiece. Right now, Im thinking 8 out 10.

From a PC perspective ...
This is the Dragon Age game I've missed since Origins.
The good:
- Perfect graphics (once the fps lock is fixed).
- Flawless sound and sublime voice acting, as usual.
- Beautiful, open world that made my jaw drop.
The bad:
- The main menu is boring.
- Clunky and bland user interface. I particularly hate the skill tree. I can't get a whole picture of a skill tree, which makes it kinda hard to plan a build. This is a step back from DA2.
- Combat feels awkward and confusing. Especially melee.
- Awkward mouse and keyboard controls.

Loving the game so far. I havent progressed much in the main story, considering that Hinterlands is huge and there is always something to explore....

The facial hair is terrible... Same with the eyebrows.
Yep. This is my biggest complaint so far. Ended up just going with a fancy mustache for my Dwarf because every beard was screwed up looking in some way. Patches missing, only having one side of the mustache, etc. Hopefully that is something that can be fixed in a patch.
Other than that, I am loving the game so far. I've been using tac-cam a lot and enjoying it. Playing a warrior (my preferred class) is way, way, way, more fun in DAI than the previous two games.
DAMP is super fun. My friends and I will be spending a ton of time in there.

Noooo. I wanted to be a bushy-bearded Dwarf!! :-(

Combat on PC feels clunky, and later this evening, after getting home from work, I'll want to try plugging my Xbox One controller to my PC.
It feels clunky mostly cause we're used to the "point and click" of old school adventure games, Baldur's Gate and Diablo, and here you have to interact a bit more in the combat when you control a character (especially melee).
The tactics also work finely, far better than DA2 of course, as expected, but personally I have to work around the keyboard bindings as I feel weird rotating through the view with qwes as ad "strafe" the view.
I love how vast the world feels, whatever you see, if it's reachable, you can get there, and you'll sure find goodies for your sake of exploration, from loot here and there to other things I won't mention for the sake of spoiler.
Additional to this I have LOVED the new personal interaction in the party banter, where you get prompted and have your say.
On top of that the new graphical look is definitely GLORIOUS on PC with almost everything at Ultra, in 1440p.
I have to learn and get used also to the new inventory, but that's my small first opinion after merely an hour of gameplay with two hours spent on the chacacter creator (1 hour at first, another hour to make it from scratch).
As it's not out yet in Europe, I can't wait till I won't be able to use a VPN just to launch it, as it doesn't has any unlock (typical of other DRM mechanism), it only checks through Origin and the regional release date.
Edit: All meet my Albertus Trevelyan

They learned nothing from DA2's combat. Waves, waves, waves. Enemies appearing out of thin air. I had a group of 3 materalizing in my face, when I was finishing a hard fight. You clear an area just to turn around and find 20 enemies walking around like they own the place. That's bullshit.

The good:
- Graphics
- Audio
- Environments
- Narrative
The bad:
- Menus are very poorly designed
- Tac cam is difficult to control with k+m
- 30 fps cap in cutscenes
- Bugs. Lots of them.

I've heard no one else with this complaint? Are you sure they're not demons?

After playing for one hour (i know i know) the only major complaint is that tactics camera is pretty...wonky imho.
The default keybinding sucks, people should really check the keybinding section.

In streams I've definitely seen a couple instances of pop-in enemies... the issue seems constrained to a couple areas, so could be a fixable problem in the spawning mechanics. People who progress steadily across the map don't seem to run into it much... it's doubling back over a couple specific mob placements in the hinterlands.
Now, roaming enemies coming in behind you certainly happens as well, and by design... and that is a very good thing, as it forces you to be aware of your surroundings and ready for the world to initiate combat rather than waiting for you to do so.

*snip*
As for the tactical KBM, there are issues. The camera does not follow the controlled character when moving, even outside of combat. So you have to move the camera manually all of the time. And while the camera does kind of free-roam (and I like the low-angle tac can option), the angle is tied to the height, so you can't both zoom out and look ahead at the same time. Also, it appears the tac cam is actually following an invisible character around (it may well be), and that character can fall off cliffs and get stuck, thus immobilising your camera.
*snip*
When the camera falls do you need to reload or switching camera mode resets its location?
I wanted to play in tatical cam all the time, but almost everybody is complaining about it with keyboard and mouse...

You could add the looting into that list. It's frustrating that you have to go within 10 cm of the object or else you cannot loot it, since you cannot control the game by using a mouse.

I'm in love. It looks gorgeous, there's so much stuff to do. My friend and I played for over 12hrs yesterday and most of that was just us exploring/questing in the Hinterlands.
Um, I didn't like the horse controls at first (using mouse and keyboard) because you can't canter backwards, which becomes a problem (only during one specific part of the game so far, but I don't want to spoil things). The tac cam is okay, I don't really like how it activates when I'm just zooming out my camera. I think that pressing T to activate it should be sufficient, like in Origins with the space bar.
Jumping is actually incredibly fun.
I was worried about the finite number of potions (8) you can have on hand and the lack of healing spells but honestly? It means I have to think more tactically and withdraw if I know I'm going to be wrecked. It made various fights with "boss" level NPC's more intense.
The no level scaling is interesting. If you're ballsy, you can try and fight through anyway and if you're lucky, it'll work. Most of the time though, you'll get wrecked, lol. But it's worth it! The game doesn't feel like you can just steamroll over everything.
Noticed a few AI bugs here and there. People walking into walls and not being about to extricate themselves away, saw one soldier bloke walk through a wall and that gave me a fright. Sometimes the companion AI can be a bit janky too. I was in fight where 2 of my companions were dead and it was just my Inquisitor and another companion. I kept directing this companion to revive the other two but for some reason, he just wouldn't move. It made the fight more intense because I was getting frustrated, but I ended up winning in the end. Made me anxious as hell though.

They were templars. They and mages respawn in a blink.

Oh I've seen one area in the reviews and impression videos that's basically a battleground where they respawn, like, right away. Maybe there.
*shrug* I guess I'll see when I get the game in an hour.

The only thing I don't like is how the attack button is mapped to R2 on the PS4. I wish I could make it X and the jump button R2.
God yes. I've run in to so many fights ready to kick ass only to start hopping around like an idiot, which ends up with me being a stain on the ground.

Yes, there's a battlefield like that. I saw groups appearing after I defeated them. But the spawning middle combat didn't happen there.

I haven't progressed far, basically played the prologue x3, once for each class, so I could make an informed decision about which playstyle suits me best. But what I've played and seen so far was absolutely fantastic and the new Nvidia driver eradicated any performance issue I had prior to the update.
KBM does feel a little wonky though and I switched to controller which plays a lot better, imo. The few bugs I've encountered thus far were very minor and to be expected.
Lastly, I'm kinda blown away by just how good the game looks maxed out.
