The console commands are the same as Battlefield 4. I displayed my frame rate by using the command from BF4.
So there IS a developer console :D and console commands!

Like the others, I discovered the console by using the tilde key (~). Yay.
And typing:
list
does show a long list of commands, many of which (I think) scrolled off-screen and the up-key doesn't do anything.
Would be nice if someone was able to capture that list in its entirety. No doubt it will happen, given some time.

Did you try using the Page Up key?

Hmm. I *think* I did, but not sure now. Will try again later, but I seem to remember it did nothing.

I freely admit, I tried cheat engine already, and although I can find xp and gold, gold was the only one I could actually get to work. XP, I get it, it works, then it resets back to normal. Why? I want to do my next playthrough as a level 20 in the prologue. Maybe then I won't spend 3 hours there.
And looking at the crafting... I really want to find how to mod the materials, so I do not need to worry about running out ( I like to craft, what?
)
Please do tell!!! What are the commands you found so far?

When using Cheat Engine you don't use 'commands'. You have to scan for values. Once you've located the hex address where gold or xp is stored, you can easily delete the value and put in as much as you want.

There is a forum up in cheat engine forum for xp for sure, ability not so much, as it seems to show the right number but then resets back to normal.

Ok so if you really want to modify your character a bit, add abilities and so on check cheathappens. They have a working Trainer. Because of how Dragon Age works , though, where it changes memory locations often you cannot just set a trainer and forget about it. You can, however, add ability points, max your crafting materials if you hate hunt and pecking for crafting stuff, and max your gold. That works fairly well. But chances are the game WILL crash on you with the trainer active. This is probably not going to be any different to using the cheat engine.
That's why it is way more preferable to get the dev console to work as in previous versions of the game.
*sigh* I remember when PC games used to include cheat codes, and fully functional developer consoles as a matter of course. A simple command line toggle and PC Gamers would be able to fiddle with their games to their heart's content.
The good old days

Are you serious? Ha! And they said that, while they were not directly releasing mod tools, they wouldn't do anything to prevent the tweaking of their game. Lieeees. This is the first game I've heard of where the memory addresses float around while the game is still running.

I know, seriously. One of the devs said they used the console for testing during development though, so I wonder if EA made them take all of the fun commands out before shipping. You know how much the F word "fun" offends EA.
Either that or maybe an ini needs to be tweaked to enable the FULL console commands list. I do not know these things.
Thank goodness I'm a wizard with Cheat Engine. Not sure how to change appearance with it, but sooner or later I'll figure it out. I did with Diablo 3, after all.
Well, if you figure out the address for potions let me know. It's the only thing im always low on haha

The link that I'm about to provide isn't in relation to this topic, but I figured, "what the heck", maybe some people aren't aware of this yet.

Oh..no no, this isn't really to prevent just modding your single player experience. It's to prevent cheaters in multiplayer. I just hope we don't forego singleplayer mods because they chose to add a multiplayer arena to the game.
That could happen, though, because multiplayer is another source of revenue. So maintaining the integrity of that experience probably takes priority over gamers messing about in singleplayer.
Still, the trainer DOES work, it just will inevitably crash the game if you leave it running.

Why would you need XP? What you really want is skillpoints.

Just look up Battlefield 4's commands. They are the same.

I think the addition of multiplayer is why they just got rid of all of those. And yeah, there's tons of things going wrong. One of my inquisition soldiers was buried in dirt up to her chest in the camp and she was trying to report something to me, but it wouldn't let me talk to her cause she's too low. Also, I've heard of people having to restart their games because their Inquisitor suddenly changed genders for no reason. A debug command COULD have fixed that issue.
