How do you tell the companions to use the potions while just commanding your Inquisitor? I don't mind micromanagement, but I don't want to just switch to a character to just heal.

You can set it so they will drink them automatically at a certain %. Otherwise, I think you have to switch to them. Not sure about PC tac-cam mode as I played the EA Access (you have to switch characters in tac-cam mode on console) and no other way in action mode that I saw.

You can set it up in Tactics, where they drink a potion when they reach a certain health level. You can also set it to like stop when you have reached a certain amt of potions
