I think I've found the button to mute someone when in the lobby, but ...

 

1. How do I turn my mic on, or check that it's working?
2. Where do I configure push-to-talk?

If you have any more tips, please share.

I've been digging around the settings myself as well with no luck. Seems the manual control isn't implemented...yet?

Kind of strange that there is no help or guide. I've checked the DAI FAQ and the EA FAQ.

Mic is open at all times, there doesn't appear to be an option to change this at all.

 

It's pretty stupid.

Yeah, I've heard people say that. Funny, though, how I can't get the voice icon on my line in the lobby.

There really needs to be an option to turn off the microphone, the fact it is on automatically is very very annoying to say the least

Yes, mic is open at all times. I had a streamer as host yesterday who was skyping and I heard everything he said because I didn't mute him. The game definitely needs push to talk.
