I opened the chest at the start and it gave me the Flames of the Inquisition heavy armor and a special sword and shield but nothing else.

Sooo, where is the helmet?

The armor looks the same on all classes and, imo, it is a very nice mix of warrior/rogue/mage armor and looks nice on any of the classes.

Did you get the schematics for the armor? Also where in game can you pick up the gear? Thanks in advance.

You can pick up the gear from the chest right after the prologue.

In the house where you wake up in Haven. The chest is called Special Delivery iirc.

I installed the dlc items before starting the game, yet somehow I cant find them in the box...

Later in the game you also get the option to send out your advisors and collect the armor to your mount, and the other armor stuff. 

 

You get the weapon and armor suited for your class when you first wake up in Haven, after "Spoiler:             Closing the Breach" Its in a chest

The flame of the inquisition helmet shows up as dragon loot.

Heard it on a forum and personally confirmed it (after 4 dragons).

There is no helmet included in the Flames of the Inquisition DLC gear, only armor (same appearance, different stats for the 3 classes) and weapons. When you get Skyhold you get the schematics to craft everything yourself, and as you level up you get higher tiers of the schematics (I'm currently using a tier 3 Shield of the Dragon).

 

The iconic Inquisitor helmet is looted from the dragon in Emerald Graves, and there is also a schematic to craft it that I found somewhere (unfortunately I can't remember where)

I've gone back to the chest and there's nothing there. I should have it considering I pre-ordered the Inquisitor's Edition on PC (yes I used the product code and yes it was the correct account). Also, I don't have the reaper weapons from that interactive browser thing that got tweeted out before the US launch.

ah! I forgot about this for Deluxe. I downloaded them, but they are not in the game. I need to do the whole, exit Origin and re-log in thing. I think... that's supposed to fix? and I have to do this before certain events...

You mean the dragon armor? And weapon? I for my mage got leather dragon armor and a flaming dragon staff. Go to the hut your inquistor wakes up after tge prologe.

I got the Deluxe Edition and the first time i didn't install the additional content but I reloaded the game after installing the exclusive content and I found the armour and the weapon (a bow for my archer) in a chest when you woke up after the prologue (the elf that begs you pardon etc).

 

As for the schematics, you got them in Skyhold, no helm, only the armour and weapon.

You do not get the Helmet. It's the standard Inquisition Helmet shown in every trailer. I got it from the Dragon in the Emerald Graves, and a schematics somewhere else, I don't remember where.
