Have you installed the Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable Package? You are probably missing the 64bit version of the dll.

Check the Windows folder. The file has to be in the SysWOW64 and the System32 folder.

This seems to be a common problem and should be easy to fix.

Weird.

Download it again. Here: http://www.microsoft...n.aspx?id=30679

Install it and run the game. Maybe try to repair the game too and restart the PC. Update DirectX and your graphic drivers.

This has to work.

Just got the game working. Here's what worked for me. Uninstalled then completely reinstalled the game, then restarted the computer, then installed the Microsoft Redistributable (linked above in various posts)--I actually had to choose "repair" because I had already tried this earlier, then restarted the computer, then it worked. NO idea if that will help anyone else at all with this issue, but that's what I did. Good luck!

I did the same, and just restarted after downloading the redistributable, didn't repair and it WORKED!!!!  9 hours too late for me to be really happy but at least it didn't take 36 hours to get to play like Assassins Creed Unity did.

REALLY hope they address this issue soon.  Seems pretty idiotic to force players to reinstall after the preload.

And for those stuck, I followed the advice in this thread - http://answers.ea.co...-p/171298#M3584

And that worked somehow.  Best of luck, though I hope they get it resolved on their end too.

Was just getting this same error:

Invalid License. Reason Code = Missing DLL [MSVCP110.dll] Error: 0x7e

I did the following (sorry, this was less scientific that I would have liked for the purposes of posting a solution but, it worked...)

I went to: http://www.microsoft...n.aspx?id=30679

... and downloaded and installed this.

Then on my local machine I navigated to:

Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Dragon Age Inquisition\__Installer\vc\vc2013\redist

... and ran vcredist_x64.exe

Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Dragon Age Inquisition\__Installer\vc\vc2012\redist

... and ran vcredist_x64.exe

D:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Dragon Age Inquisition\__Installer\vc\vc2008sp1\redist

... and ran vcredist_x64.exe

Chose the Install or Repair option, depending on which was presented as they are mutually exclusive (i.e. you'll never get both).

Sorry I did not run one then check then run another and check again to pinpoint the precise fix, but this was the order of operations I used to get mine working.  I really hope this helps someone else.

My dearest friend, I suffered a similar issue but with Error 0XC1, it also told me invalid license for the same DLL.  The solution I found was to go to

http://www.microsoft.com/net

and download their installer for .net framework 4.51 and repair my installation.  After the repair it prompted me to restart and then after my restart my game worked!  Wishing you the best!  I too have been at this since 9pm pst, with a few hours to sleep.

If nothing else works, you can try to install the game from another account (administrator). If you don't have one you can make a new one. Had the same problem with another game some time ago and solved it by creating a new administrator account and installing the game from there.

Hope it helps.

couldn't you just uninstall the game delete the licence then reinstall it, origins should download a brand new licence.

Thanks for the heads up on this qc_ I killed the "GeForce Experience" a long time ago and as such I only get updates when I remember to check.

Technically it's not a license issue.  Though, that is a good question.  Unfortunately as with similar issues experienced in BF4 a simple uninstall/reinstall is not necessarily doing the trick for everyone.  On top of the fact that not just in this forum, but in others, the general consensus is that no one really wants to re-download a 20-30GB game if there is a work around for these issues.  (i.e. if it's not a guaranteed fix, it's gonna suck to remove the game and wait to download and re-install only to find out that didn't work)

The problem looks to be tied to one of the Visual C++ updates that the program is relying on at launch.  Something the code is looking for is either not there or not installed correctly and as a result it is coughing up that error.  The order of operations on start up likely includes a call that is checking the license and part of that "method" call is blowing up mid-stream because it is having a problem referencing one of the libraries it is looking for.

The error is bubbling up the call stack as "invalid license" because that's the place in their code that the error is being generated.  (i.e. the "friendly" error message is a bit misleading) Given the fact that the fix had nothing to do with license keys and more to do with the underlying Visual C++ support install being out of whack, a new license key wasn't gonna fix it.  At least no in my case.

Just my .02

Have gone through all the steps above four times now, and still getting the same error.

Even went so far as to try and copy and paste the DLL's in question to the DA: I directory, but it refuses to see them.

Will try talking to customer support tomorrow, since they keep banker's hours, but otherwise it looks like this game is getting returned. Spending 6 hours trying to install a game is ridiculous.
