Hey, everyone!

I'm just your friendly neighborhood long-time lurker, and like you, I'm just as excited to play DA:I. I just found an interesting post on reddit. The OP of the reddit post claims to have found a fix for the 30 framerate cap in cutscenes, and apparently the fix has worked for several people (i.e. you can obtain FPS in cutscenes similar to those you'd experience during gameplay).

I'm not sure if I may be breaking any forum rules I may not know about in posting this, but please correct me wherever I am in the wrong!

Again, I can't vouch for the validity of this workaround, nor can I guarantee that you'll like the results since BioWare gave a specific reason for the 30 FPS cap in the first place (i.e. synchronized cutscenes and animations). Would any BioWare representatives have anything to add on to this?

I won't be able to play Inquisition until the winter break, so I hope all of y'all have fun and love the game. I'll be secretly crying on the inside in the meantime while preparing for finals. The hype is still real for me.

This is working well for me. Sometimes the cutscene gets a little choppy but there is no fps dip. I'd much rather have a choppy 60fps scene than a choppy 30fps scene anyway.

The reason it's choppy is that the fix still is forcing the game to use a certain FPS. 60 vs 30.

Would this be recommended for someone like me who is struggling to run the game regardless?
