I gather from some of the other threads on here that some people already have it so I'm just curious; how buggy is it?

Bioware's stuff has been pretty fine for me in the past but the last one I got on-launch was ME3 (I got DA2 only earlier this year - mainly so I'd have the whole picture going into Inquisition) so I don't know if their quality has changed at all.  That and I could just be overly paranoid after Ubisoft's latest muck-ups (the save file corruption glitch in Watch_Dogs and then the technical failings of Unity).  The only bugs I've really heard about was an SLI one that TotalBiscuit ran into in his pre-release copy (made his character's face invisible so he was just playing as a floating moustache - oh how I wish he'd posted screenshots) and a gender-confusion one I ran across in the Feedback sub-forum just before making this thread.

I also saw a black-screen bug some people had.  Didn't check the whole thread, but I did read up to when someone mentioned that DAI won't run on a dual-core PC so unless that was another issue then I should be fine (Intel i7 here and it looks like I meet all the requirements for the game).

So will I have anything to worry about or are the odds good that I'll be fine?

After playing ~6 hours:

I've had a single crash - during initial character creation (and after I already spent like 30 mins customizing my Inquisitor too). Since then it's been mostly fine, just a couple minor character animation glitches and obviously wrong camera angles. In other words, it's ok.

I've had no crashes so far (on PC). There are some funny little game glitches, I had a codex actually open midway through conversation that I picked up a while back. I also had the companions get stuck behind a cart at one point and I had to go back a bit and get them unstuck. Seriously minor though, the game is great.

No crashes on me yet, but did encounter a very strange glitch/bug. After cutscene that plays once you create your character, I got stuck on two different characters in the cutscene location. You're not supposed to actually be there but I could run around, drink potions, level up for some reason. Everytime I ran too far away it would teleport me back to my starting point. Saving/loading was impossible and the only fix was to start over and re-create my character.

played 9 hour so far, no crashes, lags sometimes but usually because of large amounts of npcs. The occasional bug, but nothing serious.

Sounds like something I should be able to manage (or at least doesn't sound any different to most other big games on launch).  Guess it was just Watch_Dogs induced paranoia after all.  Getting stuck ten hours into a game from a save file bug just as the plot's getting interesting for more than a month can have that effect.

It sounds like either 1.) the game is not optimized well or 2.) you have a CPU bottleneck
