Any way to bind mouse button 4 and 5 with moving forward/backward?
I absolutely cannot use WASD movement, so used to using my side mouse buttons. I switched to using a controller for now but would prefer KBM

you don't have enough buttons on your mouse. I would get a Logitech G600 or G602 or G502 if you want the buttons and the good sensor that comes with the G502. If your having problems with WASD I suggest getting a keypad. I have a Logitech G13 Keypad and a Logitech G600 mouse with 25 and 20 buttons respectively. Makes for easy gaming.

Are you responding to me? Because I am currently using the G602, but still unable to bind those mouse buttons.

Oh yeah - I mean is it possible to rebind those mouse buttons from within DAI without having to use Logitech's Gaming Software?
You might have to assign the mouse buttons to something at least for DA:I to pick up the button input. IDK. I have had game/mouse combos that just would not register the mouse button press without assigning a keyboard button to all the mouse buttons because the mouse buttons are programmed as a non-registered button/key press. Try assigning a button, any button you wont use to the mouse button and see if it will pick up the key press.

Unfortunately, remapping mouse buttons is not possible from within DAI ![]()

In videos it looked like the action-y part of combat played quite similarly to DA2. PC controls were just fine for that IMO...has it changed so much from DA2?

Same here first Bioware game where I feel its going better with Xbox controller than keyboard and mouse.
I still use keyboard for multiplayer because theres no push to talk on controllers but I might decide to use controller in multiplayer anyway.

Heh. I guess I should have asked how a controller adds that to combat.

Thanks, I am able to use my keymapping software but decided to go back to controller anyways, KB+M feels clunky, game definitely designed for controller IMO.

This pretty much means they messed up on KB/M.

Really? I'm forced to play on a ps4 as my laptop is dated and I'm having a hell of a time trying to get used to the controller. It feels...unnatural as all get out.

Ok one more question, using a controller, is it possible to remap abilities onto which buttons? Using KBM you can just drag and drop onto an ability slot, but not sure with controller...

Controller is better imo. I also wasn't expecting that.
