So I go to the store tonight to grab my copy for PC of the Inquisitor Edition, to find out that there was several broken and missing pieces inside the box.

 

The game disc/codes were missing(deluxe version)

soundtrack missing

extra content codes missing

box it self was damaged on the inside

lock picks were damaged or broke

quill was broke

Map markers looked to be missing

at least one of the small figures were broken as well.

 

On top of all this the quality of the items were poor.

Now I don't mind spending 210.00 on a collector Edition where I live, but when its missing the game, and multiple other items, or having that many broken items.

 

From my understanding this wasn't an isolated issue, since the employee's at the store were aware of this problem at pretty much every location. I do blame the manufacture that was used in this instance.

 

I have since cancelled my copy of that edition and going with the digital deluxe version, which does tick me off a lot, since I really liked the looks of the inquisitor Edition when it was announced and did want it a lot. After seeing the condition that it was in and more then one of them in that condition, I couldn't justify the cost of it at that point.

Can't blame the store, for the condition, since the missing games in more then one, had to have come from when they were produced and not shipped.

It happened to a local store where I live, apparently it was that way when they recieved it but they checked which ones were broken and exchanged them for new ones!

What kind of store thinks its acceptable to sell in that condition?!

They would of done that for me, except everyone in the area, was missing or broken pieces or both.

I think all them all had missing games.

nah I didn't take pics, I should of taken some, but, I wasn't in a mood to think to well after seeing all the problems with it.

seems like its most of them, It really is a low quality product to begin with. I do want a inquisitor's edition but for 210.00 for the ones that seemed to be at all the stores in the area, let alone up here in Canada at the stores. Not sure what really to do about it, other then post here about it.

EA needs its own inquisition to find out what the heck happened with this game.

It sounds like the inquisitor's edition is the only downside to this game.

Good. That's the best option possible.

Sojurn, I'd recommend checking it when you get it and then get a refund if anything is missing or broken.

I would check it before leaving the store, the way it looks is that its a big mess at the manufacturing level of it, and not shipping it to stores.

My map markers are broken as well as the inquisitor badge. Also the lining on the inside of the case has come off. My games store said they'd return it but I still want everything else inside. Maybe they will be able to replace broken pieces eventually. One can hope anyways.

Mine will arrive at my house tomorrow, if there are any issues, ill provide pictures. Lets hope not.

Parts on the outside of mine fell off instantly. The screws werent in on the lock. The Badge was broken in 2. The Eagle had a wing broken off. The lockpick set was all over the inside, and one part looked broken. And there's some arch thing that I can't figure out what it even went on. Wow... How is this a thing going on.

I got the Inquisitors Edition. Mine is fine.

 

When you are installing the game it installs as the DELUXE EDITION, so I assume we get all the in game stuff from that, including the soundtrack.

I ordered mine from Gamestop, and they put the order in. But the fellow over there says they will not stock it. They just send it straight from the farm.

 

UPS delivered it to me, same day shipping. I've always had great service with UPS in my area, I know the cat who delivers it too, nice guy.

This is how mine was delivered, and it did have some very minor damage. The Inquisition eye is popped off the base, and one of the lockpicks is broken, but I'm willing to blame that mostly on the fact that it's flippin' cold here. Also in the US. Had all the codes and such, however.

I had the same issue plus some. This was my experience with the Inquisitor's Edition:

 

Chest Itself: Physically intact and undamaged, paint of the inquisitor's seal worn but unsure if as intended for "aged" effect or a mistake.

Game Disc: Ok, Deluxe Edition Code Inside

Quill Set: Missing Quill (not ok) and Ink (ok with that). Contained the bottle.

Inquisitor's Badge: Bent slightly and of shoddy make but not broken.

War Map: Felt a little cheap but could have been a LOT worse. Acceptable.

War Map Pieces: The Lion attachment was broken, but otherwise fine. As with the warmap, felt a little cheap but could have been worse.

Coins: Present and, though much like the war map/pieces, acceptable.

 

LOCKPICK SET: COMPLETELY MISSING. THIS WAS THE MAIN REASON I PURCHASED THIS AND I WAS THOROUGHLY UPSET AT THIS...

Tarot Cards: Also missing but I had forgotten they were a thing... less concerned with this.

 

*coughs* Tl;Dr: I'd return mine if I could. Not worth the money for what we received, imho... I've learned my lesson. Let's hope the game itself is enough to pull me out of this slump.

 

Edit: I reside in the US. I also had this shipped via UPS. Also I left out the most important thing. The journal that was included.

Journal: Arguably the best conditioned item in the set. I would have paid $20-30 for it as a collector alone. The book of paper included is a cheap thing made to look like old paper, but the cover it's in looks and feels like real leather... also one of the metal "braces" came unglued after I moved the chest...
