It's an old system running a next gen game, I would say we are lucky to get a past gen version at all. If they can patch the shine that would be awesome though!

They charged 70-80 bucks for this game. I'd expect it to look half decent. Not like... that.

Its a bloody miracle they even got it to run on last gen hardware. I'm not surprised it looks bad, but maybe they shouldn't have bothered if it ends up looking like that.

You and I have very different ideas of what "fine" looks like. This is the first game I've ever gone bald in, I couldn't deal with any of the hair.

The PS3 version actually has better looking hair, despite whatever the hell happened in the first post's screenshot. My main point was that whatever is going on there is not typical of the PS3 version, or 360 version for that matter.

Something I'm starting to hate is that every elitist on here assumes ANY problem with the last gen version must be because it's crappier hardware, which is easily debunked when you show them other games for the same console that is just as good or better looking.

I admit I have been laughing as well.  Do the games look better? yes.  Are some textures and features superior? yes.  Is the difference HUGE? No.  I'm sure as time goes on the gap will grow, but its not that major yet. 

 

It is however impressive the addition GTAV has, but thats Rockstar.  It would be nice if Bioware took a page out of their book and offered character exchange cross gen like GTAO has.

I can attest that the graphics on the PS3 are on the bad side.  I just started playing and not only is there lag during scenes, the texture detail is super low quality on some scenes, and doesn't even load on others.  Da2 and Da1 looked better texture wise on the PS3 than this does so far.  

Also, I understand that this was meant to run on the next gen console, but if they made the decision to release it on older consoles, they should have made sure the quality was up to standard, specially since we paid the full price.  I am beyond disappointed with the texture quality, it makes the already super shiny hair stand out even more. 

Edit:  Just to show the difference, the PS3 version looks like a low quality render when compared to gameplay shown from the same scene.  This isn't about being nitpicky, you can tell just how bad the quality is.

I came in here to agree that the XBox 360 version looks worse than what I expected, but holy god what is that. LOL

I was expecting the game to look like DA2 at least that on PS3 looked good the textures are so bad I feel shocked that the previous game looked better I hope theres a patch for the textures hopefully looking better I don't expect it to look PS4ish but wow lol

I noticed the Xbox 360 has the same problem with beard textures. Hopefully this gets fixed soon.
