I wish they'd shown more footage of it and been more open with what we'd be getting.  I'm getting the ps4 version for myself, but the ps3 version for somebody else...looks like I maybe shouldn't have bothered.  If it wasn't going to run at a reasonable level then they shouldn't have released it at all.

Yeah. Check my big complaint thread I just made, I'm seriously p!ssed about this. They didn't even put any effort in, this port was just shoved out the door with the barest of care put into it. It's like a sandwich with a single piece of lettuce in it, it's clear the maker just didn't give a damn.

I just edited my post in the first page with comparison pictures from the same scene.  Seriously, the difference in texture detail is huge.

Its a bloody miracle they even got it to run on last gen hardware. I'm not surprised it looks bad, but maybe they shouldn't have bothered if it ends up looking like that.

I'm really enjoying the game so far, but the textures in CC were superbly bad... Like all of the skin textures were the same. I am also running this on my ps3. Hopefully Broward fixes the textures in an update :-)

The xbox 360 version looks so shitty. The hair is awful. Can't play it, have to return it.

I managed to make a good looking PC in my ps3 copy of the game, but yeah, the textures and models of figures in cut scenes look very lo res, very blurry, incomplete textures. There was one dude that Cassandra walked the PC past in the first 5 minutes who looked okay in the face, but his hat and armor was very blocky and all had the same, blurry, undefined texture, with no variation in color even. Anyone else spot him? He had his arms crossed.

Anyway, i have to admit, i'm a little disappointed. I knew it wouldnt be as good as ps4, but i hoped it'd look like da2 at least.

Very disappointed about not getting scars, too.

While the game plays just fine, and I have been really enjoying it, the presentation issues can't help but make me feel like I'm playing a shell of what this game could be. I realize it's due to the fact that this a next-gen game on last-gen hardware, and that it's my own stupid fault for pre-ordering it (On the PS3 at least), but it's still upsetting nonetheless. Guess it's time to upgrade to a PS4 after all, hope to see all of you on there soon.

Oh well, at least there's one silver lining in all this, I've been meaning to do a playthrough of the entire Fallout series for a while now, may as well do it in the interim.

It's the exact same game, just with low quality textures, why wouldn't it be full price?

Not to mention, it's 80 dollars if you shelled out for the deluxe edition, retail version's still 60.

I can attest that the graphics on the PS3 are on the bad side.  I just started playing and not only is there lag during scenes, the texture detail is super low quality on some scenes, and doesn't even load on others.  Da2 and Da1 looked better texture wise on the PS3 than this does so far.  

Also, I understand that this was meant to run on the next gen console, but if they made the decision to release it on older consoles, they should have made sure the quality was up to standard, specially since we paid the full price.  I am beyond disappointed with the texture quality, it makes the already super shiny hair stand out even more. 

Edit:  Just to show the difference, the PS3 version looks like a low quality render when compared to gameplay shown from the same scene.  This isn't about being nitpicky, you can tell just how bad the quality is. 







 

You can't compare Current Gen graphics to last gen. There is no way that they could have made the graphics comparable between the two. The last gen systems simply cannot take the strain.

I bought the digital edition for PS3 and mine does not look like that. There's a couple of non-loading texture occasionally and the type is too small, but otherwise I'm really satisfied with it.

Oh god. Now I'm again really nervous. Videos of PS3 what I have seen look lot better than that. I don't think I can manage even playing game if it looks that bad. I have to ask my money back from Bioware but I doubt they would refund. Sigh, are they kidding us.

Stop expecting Such a HUGE and Up to date Graphic game to be amazing on a 10 year old Console. SH*T people, Throw that Garbage out and get a Next gen and you will stop writing about horrible lag and graphics.

So i have now played this game.  Disc version on a slim.

 

This is no exaggeration.  This is literally the worst looking game I have ever played on PS3.  Far worse than DAO...at least DAO loaded and people didn't look muddy.  I don't care about graphics at all I am an old school SOCOM fan, but my god is this pitiful.  I can't believe Bioware has their name on this and isn't embarrassed by it.  This looks like a bad PS2 game.  If this is legit and how they meant to have the game release that is hilarious.  Also my FIRST ever MP match?  PS3 locked up. lol

Really? I have been thinking of canceling my DAI preorder but I think I have to. I just wonder how for some the game look okayish on video when playing PS3 but other keep having shiny bugs and other issues. Sigh, I don't want to gample with 88 dollars though so preorder cancelled tomorrow then. Idk when I will play DAI.

There has to be something wrong with those discs. I've been playing it on ps4 at my home and my friends got ps3. Initially my ps4 on disc was lagging and after a reset it seemed to normalize. He downloaded it off psn after hearing some rumors about poor textures on the disc. I am at his place...nearly 8 hours in and the game looks NOTHING like that on ps3. minor lags after a few hours sure and some pop ins during battle but the textures aren't super ugly.

Well if they are wanting games to look as good or close to what they saw in the promotional stuff that is pretty much the only solution to be found.
