Really? I have been thinking of canceling my DAI preorder but I think I have to. I just wonder how for some the game look okayish on video when playing PS3 but other keep having shiny bugs and other issues. Sigh, I don't want to gample with 88 dollars though so preorder cancelled tomorrow then. Idk when I will play DAI.

I actually got the disc and it looked really horrible in cutscenes during the prologue, though gameplay wasn't bad. After the prologue, however, it began looking like the Youtube video. It's at least nice enough that it doesn't make me want to vomit...except it just froze...ugh.
some problems they probably had:
-Game is optimized for next gen.. next gen has 8GB of shared memory last gen only 512MB (or divided one for the ps3 256/256) it is not easy to have great textures in a huge world with a engine that was not programmed for last gen. from the start.
-Comparing this game with a game that only uses a small area(DA2) is not realistic.
Facial hair looks fine too.

I bought the disk version for ps3, and I'm alright with it, though I guess I haven't bumped into any major problems yet. I can't really afford a ps4 lol.

Except all the games you listed were built on the last gen systems FOR last gen systems.
Its much different when something is made ON current gen FOR current gen and then ported to last gen.

I think it depends on who makes it and who knows what they are doing. Valykrie Profile for the ps3 was made at the end of the life of PS2 and it is a marvelously beautiful game with graphics fitting the 360 and looking better than alot of them.

I'm sorry to say this but you shouldn't byte more than you can chew. We all WANT things. Whether we can afford them or not that's another issue. This game is a new gen game and you are playing it because Bioware did something nice and ported it on your console. You should know better than to expect new gen games to work on old gen hardware.

The xbox 360 has got a 7800gtx equivalent Graphics card.
Spec: 400 MHz, Direct X 9.0, 256MB GDDR3 SDRAM,
The ps3 has got a 7800gtx equivalent Graphics card.
Same spec as above
Both consoles have had their GPU stripped off some parts to make it work in the console and both of them render games at 720p which is then stretched to fit a 1080p screen.
This game is a new gen game that requires at least:
Geforce 8800GT for minimum / very low settings only
Geforce GTX650 for medium / most options off
Geforce GTX660 for RECOMMENDED SETTINGS / decent gameplay

You should consider yourself lucky that you even have access to this game on the old console and they tuned everything down to make it work for you.
The gameplay in the videos you see on youtube is all from High End PC's. Ppl who run this game with latest high end GPU's with spec such as 3GB DDR5 / 6GB DDR5 / 8GB DDR5. That is millions of miles away from the 360 or the ps3.
