I'm running along wih Cassandra after the first battle. Oh look! A corpse and it's got loot! Woo! But I can't pick it up. I've tried mouse and keyboard controls. Nothing. It just sits there, taunting me.
Has the excitement of finally playing the game rotted my brain? Am I missing something? Or is this a show-stopping glitch? Please tell me what control works to pick stuff up. Thanks!

Right click it to pick up. You also have to be close enough for a little circle to show up to interact with it.

You can press F to pick up items too
It seems like Bioware was trying to make this game as much unintuitive as possible for the PC version.

Thanks all! It's not exactly intuative but I should have tried getting a little closer first. Derp! Spotted the circle and everything is nifty now. Except for the super choppy play and Varric winking in slow motion. But hey, at least I got that helmet.
