So I pre-downloaded DAI, and was hoping to play a little multiplayer with my wife before heading off to bed.
Unfortunately, I am unable to play MP because the game says
"This portion of the game can only be accessed after full installation has been completed. Please wait for installation to finish and try again."
I can't seem to figure out how to fix this. Any advice? I have tried restarting my system already.
Should I be re-downloading and installing again?

At least you get to preload the game. I can't even download it without origin telling me the server is not responding ever 5 minutes.
I wanted to play little bit of MP before work and managed to get into the game,but could not connect to servers.
I don’t know,if it is problem with my VPN or just regular Day 1 server behavior 
.
Btw,is it possible to play (at least) single player without being connected to the servers?

I'm having the exact same problems.
Had the same issue, ended up playing single player for an hour. After that went back to the main menu and it worked.

On the little more serious note,I am also excited about multiplayer,although I expect single player to be ton of fun,too.

Same problem here my ps4 says I haven't installed it yet I have.
I was having this exact issue. I closed the game and simply left my ps4 running for awhile. I went on to dragon age keep and set up my world state. It probably took me about an hour in total to read through everything and make the choices before importing it to DA:I. Afterwards, i went back to my ps4 and opened the game again...multiplayer was now lit up and playable.
It seems as if the game has a background installation that happens after the visible one says its finished. I'm pretty sure something similar happened to me with another game on my ps4 the first time i tried to play it. I had to wait to use many features while it continued "installing" even though I couldn't see any information about the process.
Either way, the multiplayer works now so If you are having this issue i'd suggest letting your ps4 run and go do something for an hour or less then check back. It should be done by then. Good luck everyone

heck I get into mp matches but then get disconnected from the match. No reason this should be happening ugh

Mine went away on it's own. There's a 44gb file which will take a while to download. Your ps4 needs to be left on or in standby for this to complete. I played for a few hours then turned it off. When I returned I could access multiplayer. You also need to have a ps+ subscription.
