I'm not one to usually complain about this kind of thing, but the graphics on the 360 version are just appalling. It's worse than Origins in that regard.

that's a BIT of an exaggeration, having just replayed origins myself. that being said, the difference in the texture of the ice in the prologue between the last gen and next gen versions is hilarious.

PS3 graphics aren't too much better, I think.  It's a little shocking, considering what we've seen of the PS4 and Xbox One graphics.  Not sure if it's worse than Origin-level graphics, but it's getting pretty close.  Then again, at least the faces aren't DA2 puffy.  The hair suffers the worst of it, I think.

 

I think I'll be able to deal, though.  I've never been one to quibble over graphics.  Just gives me a reason to buy Inquisition again when I get a PS4.

That's what I'm talking about. Texture pop-in is a HUGE problem, and scars and stubble all just look like they have something smeared on their faces

It's pretty rough, but I think they'll hammer out some of the issues in the patch tomorrow. I hope so, at least.

I'm really disappointed with the PS3 graphics too. I think this nudges me a step closer to buying a PS4.

Yeah, I'm playing on PS3 and the game looks like ass. I'm not a graphics ******, but the poor textures and lighting really took me out of the experience. I really wish they had shown some PS3 footage beforehand so that I could've avoided this purchase and started saving for a next gen console. I'm excited for the game, but I don't want to play it in this state.

What's sad is that he's not exaggerating. I can deal with less detailed environments and fewer NPCs, but textures during cinematic sequences don't fully load. DA2 characters had better textures. Leliana looks like a damn pixilated popsicle.

The bit that killed it for me was the big epic scene after you save Haven where you walk through a crowd of hundreds of NPCs cheering you is GONE in the 360 version. You literally walk out to the big music and there's one guard.

black friday/cyber monday/some places already have them on sale for $350 which is probably the best you're gonna do unless you buy used from amazon or something.

pretty much, sometimes you get lucky though. i got my ps4 used on amazon about a month after it came out for like $299

Playing it on 360 and aside from the typical shinyness (which is an issue on all 5 platforms iirc) and the random odd texture glitch (which lasts like a second) it looks pretty spectacular, I'm impressed so far.

Yeah, in the cutscene that ends with the game title, the tearing was pretty severe...

It isn't really ruining the experience too much, though it is distracting. I'm kind of warming up to it. I was kind of exaggerating when I said it's worse than Origins. It's, maybe, slightly better than Origins.

does Cassanda's own hair really glitch/clip into her own head or is that just the video?  It is always like that?  They just deemed that "good enough"?

What the hell Bioware? So much for "Frostbite scales really Well!, it will look like other great 7th Gen titles!" Bogus.

 

Hell, all 3 Mass Effect games look better than this and they were on the Unreal 7 engine.

OMG, people what do you expect from a console that's 9 years old.  DAI is a wayyyyyyyyy bigger game than the last 2 were.  If I had my choice I would have not wasted my time making this game for those old shitty consoles.
