I am speaking as a PC user. The camera controls and unlocking the view from your characters makes it extremely weird and unwieldy to me. I sit there wanting to use tactical mode because I hate the active mode where your character doesn't attack if you aren't actively doing so yourself, but the tactical mode is utter crap. It's almost unusable inside buildings because of how low some of the ceilings are and it really sucks on sloped terrain as well. The whole panning thing is just "who thought this was a good idea?" to me.

I'm with you. It is pretty unusable. Trying controller tonight because tactical mode with keyboard and mouse is a constant fight with the camera.

No, you're not. I think the tactical view on the PC is awful.

If you change A and D from turn camera to move camera left and right, it helps vastly. I still think it's a downgrade, but by holding the right mouse button to turn the camera and using A and D to strafe, you can much more easily orbit around the battlefield without resorting to having to pan with shift.

Your not the only one.. This is a huge problem all around.. There are alot of posts of people saying the same thing.. PC controls and tac cam are a huge problem.

I'll just drop this response from another thread here too since it seems appropriate.

Just use a 360 controller like the console peasant EA wants you to be. We're in the age of develop for console, port to pc when it's convenient/the deadline looms. Or, since you were required to buy it on Origin, take advantage of that refund and get it on a console, where there might be fewer bugs and it will actually work properly.

Tac view isn't broken, it works just like it's supposed to: with a controller. As far as EA/BW are concerned you're just doing it wrong because you're on PC and not a console.
