Hey guys,

Does anyone know how to stop the camera from auto-centring when switching between characters in tactical cam? I don't have the game yet, but a friend of mine has been playing it and said it's really annoying him. He wants to be able to assign multiple commands without having the camera snap back to each character. I've seen it done in several of the dev streams, and they said you can toggle it on/off. But he can't seem to find the option apparently. Does anyone know where it is, or how to assign commands without the camera snapping to each character?

The devs talk about it being optional in this video at around 1:45, and that's on the PS3. They also mention it in the stream where the showed off the PC UI. I'm hoping they didn't remove the option.

I am having the exact same problem (on the pc) and it's insanely annoying! It will snap to party members selected and I'll have to move my camera all the way back to the enemies.

I have searched the options 3 times and am unable to find any such option.

Yep, that's exactly what my friend said. The thing is, I have seen them assigning commands to multiple different characters without the camera moving in several of the streams they did. So it was there, but they must have taken it out of the options.

Ya, I was expecting to not have it snap, like so many of the videos I've watched when they use the tactical camera, to no avail.

I'm not exactly sure why it would be taken out of the game if it was in there at some point either.

This is hugely annoying. Occasionally, I manage to target a party member without it snapping to them, but I have no idea how I manage to do it and can never replicate it ;_;. If anyone has an answer, please help!

On another note - anyone know how to stop tactical cam from enabling from just scrolling? When I'm exploring I'll scroll my cam back for a better view, and keep getting put in tactical cam ;_;. Looked everywhere in the options and found zip.

Mike mentioned in one of the streams that the mouse scroll will activate tac cam. Maybe you can change it in the key bindings? Otherwise you probably can't toggle that off either.

I agree, being able to toggle off the auto-switch to POV would be VERY nice. I spend half of my battle time zooming the camera around to where I had it before. And yes, I too would like to be able to turn off the auto-switch into tactical view on the scroll wheel. Having the exact same issue there where I'm just trying to zoom out and not switch game modes.

You cannot change the mouse button bindings in the menu. I've looked. >.<

After installing the game, was the update applied?

Bummer.  :(

I just sent a tweet to Mike Laidlaw to ask about the tac cam option. Hopefully he can give us a definitive answer on whether the 'snapping' can be turned off.

If you have a mouse with custom drivers (like Razer Synapse for example), you should be be able to rebind through that. You will just have set up a custom profile for DAI.

Is there a config file somewhere that we might edit maybe?

Mike Laidslaw has confirmed the 'snapping' is a PC bug and will be patched.

You can change betwen characters whiout going to another character double left click on the potriat of one and then left-click  in the portrait of another character you can use the 2 chac but the camara stay center on the firts one.I think they are going to fix tactical cam.

They said back in August you could use rmb+lmb to move forward.  Apparently that's not in either...

Yep, I just read this on twitter too. I'm very happy that it's going to be fixed!  :)
