So I updated to the latest AMD drivers  14.9 previously I had crashes and a Direct X error. Now though Ill just get random crashes to desktop, no error code or anything. 

 

Also every 30 - 45 seconds or so Im getting slight stutters, sometimes when combining stutters and combat it will freeze before crashing to desktop.

 

Any other people with amd having this issue?

 

EDIT Progress so far: read in another post that the random stutters might be connected to programs with game overlays. Shutdown the raptor app that came when installing the new amd drivers since it does monitor play time. Im guessing this one might have been it, also shutdown the curse app just to be sure.

 

Was able to play 30 min with no crashes or stutters, but can't test farther since I need sleep, hopefully this will have been the fix.

 

EDIT 2 Well the stutters definetly fixed, but it continued crashing after uninstalling video drivers and installing the 4.11 beta version for radeon the crashes have not dissappeared but have become manageable. Was able to play for about an hour before a crash and the for a couple more hourse uninterrupted.... not perfect but playeable.

I have a Hd 5800 and am seeing the same issue. Random CTDs. Reload works fine for a few minutes, then crashes again

The latest AMD driver is the 14.11.2 Beta. Just released by AMD for DA:I and Far Cry 4.

I have that driver myself, it plays just fine once you get into the game but just constantly crashes on the character creator.

I had tons of random crashes on the character creator. Once I got past it I had some random crashes too very early on. I just kept adjusting the settings and eventually skipped the creator and it worked fine for hours. I just pulled my save up and it crashed 30 seconds in. I also adjusted the video settings higher before this. Last night I turned a bunch of the settings down and then it started to work. I don't know what is causing it so I just started turning things down. I have nothing else running and im using a r9 270x should be able to run on high / ultra mix. It could be afterburner, I remember last night I finally turned it off and about to try that again. Afterburner never shows anything weird before crashing, all the temps / usage % are normal.
