There is not currently a technical support section of dragon age inquisition so posting here.

I am getting unplayable lag even though I have an extremely powerful connection. I've tried like 3 games and probably ruined like 3 teams day. It so bad that I am constantly rubber banding and can only move like 10 feet in a minute.

I had little lag, but my roommate said he had some. Maybe it was a problem with the servers coming live? I am sure it will be fixed soon.

So far every lobby I've met have the same lag/desync except for one guy with whom the game ran super smoothly. I even have this problem with friends who I usually play with without any problem. Also my host is usually pretty good in any game and I can clearly see people rubberbanding when I'm the leader.

I guess there is a problem of some kind but I have no idea which one. I wish I had asked that guy with the smooth lobby if he had found a trick to make the game work properly.

It might have to do with the VPN. When I used the South Korean one, I got grouped with Koreans and usually had terrible lag. After the American release I switched VPN to US and it got a bit better. I was also finally able to understand people.

I'll reserve my judgement until Thursday because of that.

Add me to the list of people that can't play. IF the map actually loads (about half the time after the loading screen I just see a backdrop with clouds/mountains and I have to exit) my character is just stuck in place for a minute, then I can slowly rubber band around the map. No mobs or doors spawn and I just see my team mates standing around losing health. I played perfectly fine until I got Keeper to lvl 6, but since then I haven't been able to play a single multiplayer match.

It takes forever for me to load into a map, and then once I am in its hit or miss on lag. My legionnaire was slow running/moving this morning and I found that if I jumped I could move at the same speed as my allies. Once I stopped jumping it was back to running in mud (and no my shield wall/whatever that ability is wasn't activated.)

So put me in for experiencing some somewhat killer lag as well. I am sure they enjoyed their tank constantly watching enemies run by him and being barely able to catch up to them. Would have been somewhat okay if I was playing ranged, but without an ability (at least at low levels) to cover ground quickly, melee can suffer.

This actully has been happening to me also. Wonder if it is a server problem?

No because I don't have a VPN running and the people I end up with are clearly russian or german.

I solved my loading and multiplayer lag issues. Before getting Keeper to lvl 6, I hadn't added anything to the game's launch options under "Game Properties". The lag issues started after I unlocked the cutscene fps with "-GameTime.MaxSimFps 60 -GameTime.ForceSimRate 60+".

I removed "-GameTime.MaxSimFps 60 -GameTime.ForceSimRate 60+" from the launch options and now multiplayer works perfectly once again. No more weird loading and no more stuck character/rubberbanding. Maybe that'll help someone else too.

No lag, no disconnects for me.

I did have two awesome teammates both get dropped at the same time though.

But they may have been playing in the same house, based on their familiarity with each other.

Yes, I played on Penguin's host today (UK). It was okay in the beginning, but after a while I just had terrible lag.

I get tons of lag and rubberbanding as well. I suspect that, in my case, it's because I keep getting matchmade with eastern Euros when I live in California.

I'm not using a VPN, my region on Origin is set to United States, so I don't know what's up with that, but it's happening like every game. At least I can't understand the stuff being shouted at me.

It has been pretty terrible, but I expect this to get better later in the week for Europeans, as the game technically isn't out until Thu/Fri.

This fixed my problems.  I did in fact have that mod enabled, and disabling it fixed my multiplayer desync/lag issues.  totally odd how that would be the culprit.

That s because they are using a VPN.

rubberbanding in every match here, from slight to extreme where i warp back over the course of a few seconds, often lag out during loading and find myself rooted and have no UI, tried posting on EAHQ but it's getting no responses... i don't think anyone uses it

Yeah, this is getting annoying. I was actually able to play without much lag or rubberbanding before EU release, but now it's impossible..
