I'm still experiencing massive lag on a 200Mb connection, this is ridiculous.

I'm not sure if it's lag or something else, but I'm having terrible difficulty just getting through the loading screens and into an actual match (or even just to the confirmation screen where each team member has to ready-up).

Same here on PC. 90% of games I tried to join I ended up leaving because of lag and rubberbanding. Can't run at start, run in slo mo, can't be revived, invisible enemies. I play many, many online MP games and have never had this type of issue with another game. Have a 50 Mbps connection.
I stopped trying MP at this point and will hope for a patch.

even with the lag, mp is more enjoyable than sp... due to the issues and crippled features

Yeah, i have all that problems too.
Sometimes i can't enter the game because i'll be always in "load screen", sometimes i can enter the game (multiplayer i talking) but i see a HORRIBLE LAG in everybody, i can't see NOTHING. And sometimes i enter... and see this:

so... what the hell i can do for fix this, because i'm very FURIOUS with Bioware for this, i payed the game for play, not for pictures like before. Please Bioware, FIX IT SOON.

It might have to do with the VPN. When I used the South Korean one, I got grouped with Koreans and usually had terrible lag. After the American release I switched VPN to US and it got a bit better. I was also finally able to understand people.
I'll reserve my judgement until Thursday because of that.
why the hell are you using a VPN?

For me the worst problem is not the lag, but instead the error messages when I try to join a game and the black screens when starting a multiplayer game.
It is really a frustrating experience:
1 - It is not easy to find games, specially on Threatening
2 - When I can find a game, very often I can't join I get back to the character screen after countless seconds
3 - If I'm able to join a lobby, very often, again, I get stuck on the black loading screen or I'm unable to walk
4 - On the rare occasions when I finally start a game, not rarely a host migration occurs.
I've played ME3 for almost 2 years and those problems, except lag, didn't happen. Even host migrations were very rare.

I am also having all of those issues as well. Though for me Mass Effect 3's MP ran relatively smoothly with zero issues. It is quite annoying to finally find a game only to rubberband whenever I look left or right or move. I hope BioWare recognizes these issues and fixes them before the inevitable deluge of new players hits the servers causing even more issues.

I was under the impression the games were player hosted, with the Bioware servers just acting as a meeting room. That is why, when the "Leader" disconnects you get a message saying "Host migration in progress". That means the frequent latency that we experience is most likely due to the host having a poor connection.
With that in mind, it would be nice if we had a latency indicator on the lobby. Also if we could award some rating to hosts at the end of the match and accounts with bad host ratings were prevented from hosting public games.
Edit: As for ME3's multiplayer not having these issues, you guys must have been very lucky indeed! I had the exact same latency issues in ME3. There were many hosts with poor connections and I ended up creating my own lobbies very often to avoid them.

Tried multiplayer for the first time today with two friends, one on the same network, the other on a different network geographically nearby. The friend on the same network and I had some sort of weird lag where we moved really, and I mean really slowly. But if we jumped forward, we moved at normal speed. So we found that we had to jump everyone like frogs instead of walking if we wanted to move at a reasonable pace. It was a pretty unenjoyable experience.

I'm guessing we need some kind of option not to allow matchmaking with high ping/latency unless a box is checked or something. Or only allow friends on friend list to join. Only time it hasn't been slow has been when I started a room or got the host migration.

Heya, just wanted to give the multiplayer a try, since its been forced into the game, and man is it broken. This is actually second time i wanted to give it a try, the first time being about a week after release, but it was completely unplayable so i just let it be, since i figured that they will fix it. I have tried today again and from 6 games i joined i could not play even one, twice it crashed my game, once it disconected me two times i just got stuck at loading screen and once i got into the game but it had such insane lag that i could not even move or see enemies.
**** multiplayer, just do away with it EA, as stupid of a move as i can imagie. People please do not buy the stupid platinum things so they dont get any money out of it, multiplayer should not have even been there, much less for it to would not work.

You have to manually hit the Sprint button to start running. Number 1 newbie tip. Honestly, I have no idea why sprinting isn't built in...I use a controller on the PC, so I'm pretty sure I'm developing a condition in my thumbs just due to this game...

So apparently there are several unresolved issues with multiplayer. Unresolved for over 4 months now. The list I encountered includes: not being able to move at start or after, rubberband lag, random disconnects, and ultimately the blue screen of death. I never before experienced the blue screen with my current hw build. I did not see the blue screen during the campaign mode. I've seen it about 6 times in multiplayer so far. I understand multiplayer is an afterthought in this game.
But....When you charge people with micro-transactions and want to increase revenue from an already shakey single player campaign with a broken a multiplayer mode then you EA have understand why you are one of the most hated companies in America. Bioware is dying a slow death and it is due in no small part to EA corporate suits.
I look forward to the continuing scattering shards of Bioware. I know their light will shine and bring me gaming bliss.
