I always thought that was strange; I paid €69.99 for the deluxe edition whilst Americans pay $69.99, a significant difference and to boot I cannot play until the 20th whilst they get earlier access. Strange how that works.
Isn't it funny how we in Europe pay more for the same game and have to play it later than N.Americans?

And I pay less than either. I figure that's probably how marketing or finances or regions or shipping or something works. ~shrug~

Another one of these posts. Seriously, get over it, it's a few days. As for the price, in Europe sales taxes are already included in the price, which is not the case in the USA.
Btw, i live in Europe.

Only thing that bothers me atm, is that the digital release date is later than the physical (nor nordic countries). How does that make sense?
It's released on the 20th in every store - but online, it's not available until the 21st.

Hey at least you get an official release...here in India (and couple neighbouring countries) EA cancelled the game due to homosexual content so we're having to jump through hoops to either import it, grab it via third party sites (meaning no deluxe edition) or use VPN which may or may not be against TOS. Fun times.
Also for PSN, we pay the EU prices so I feel you there. And that's very expensive for the average Indian.

Well, at least you have the Taj Mahal? Somewhat of a consolation...

Maybe this will make you feel better, but... /shh... sometimes I wish I lived in Europe. Even if the games cost a bit more and take a bit longer to get there.
Don't tell anyone I said that, we're not supposed to think like that in the US.

Dragon Age: Inquisition Deluxe Edition $109.95
I concur.
Inquisitor's Edition is $230 here (and to go a bit off-topic, the Skyrim CE which was $220 here was $100 in the U.S when our dollar was breaking even with the USD). Now-days, a lot of games are hitting launch at around $70 actually which is a huge improvement, but there's still gouging.
The prices here in Aus and quite a few other territories are being revealed to be price-gouging the more the barriers between buying overseas thin, games of course aren't even the worst of it.
I bought a PS4 and an IE to play on it -- the game cost half the price of the console. But hey, at least it's still obtainable here (barely).
There are still places that have it even worse with prices than Aus, unfortunately. :/

Different places, different taxes, different trasport values, diferent markup, etc etc etc.
Here in Brazil we pay like $89,00 (200,00 R$ in Brazil currency) because reasons like that.

Buy the game from a third party vendor that is selling keys then and use a VPN. My best friend and I are from the UK and we've been playing since 3PM yesterday. Normally, we wouldn't be able to access the game officially until the 21st, but why should we wait? He got us both the game for around £26 each, and it came with the fire weapons DLC. That is cheaper than the standard game with no DLC at all and almost half the price of the Origin exclusive deluxe edition.
The staggered release thing is awful but there are ways around it and using VPNs to unlock the game early (not to purchase it for cheaper, that's not allowed) are not disallowed according to Origin's/EA's reps.

Apparently Japan is waiting till the 27th.
In Finland the normal game is 59.99€
Usually they're 69.99€ so this is a bit refreshing to see at least.

Where did you buy from @grombie?
http://www.cdkeys.co...key-origin#info
Here. I bought The Sims 4 limited edition thing from them on release as well for about 20 something pounds. If you like their FB page, you get 5% off. My friend bought us both DA:I keys and we got them without any problems. Their customer service is also really good, and respond quickly to your tickets.
The price has gone up now as the game's been released, but it's still cheaper than getting it on Origin and you get the fire weapons DLC. Would definitely recommend them to anyone who hasn't got a lot of money to splash out £50 - £60 but would still like to get the game.

Regarding the $ vs € thing, I don't know if it will be the case for DA:I, but often, due to the various fees and taxes involved in game distribution, the publishers basically recieve the same amount in the end from a game that costs $x as a game that costs €x, hence the reason for pricing that way instead of making the price equal according to exchange rates.
