In my case, I was looking forward to Kingdom Hearts Remix 2.5 that comes on on December 2nd. But money is getting tight, and a few weeks ago I decided DAI had more hype from me and thus was the one I would choose if I had to pick just one to play for a while. Now my priorities have changed. If I figure out my money and realize I only have enough for one... KH gets higher priority than DAI. This shouldn't have been the case, but Bioware didn't try nearly hard enough on their port to make me want to play it. My urge to play DAI has gone from "can't wait" to "maybe I'll get at least a little enjoyment out of it...".
I'll tell you why this game looks worse than DA2 on last-gen systems.
There's a difference between squeezing every last drop of power from your target system (DA2 scenario) and scaling your game down to match an underpowered system it wasn't built for (DA:I scenario).
That's it. If we're going to look at it a different way, then yes, you're correct, next-gen was their focus. But you have to remember that all last-gen ports are now being developed from a 'top-down' perspective. That is to say, they are developed on the basis of next-gen tech, before being scaled down to accommodate last-gen hardware. It's a different (and convenient) approach from how things were pre-next-gen. And for many developers out there, it's here to stay until last-gen is phased out for good.
If DA:I was developed primarily for PS360 like DA2, you wouldn't be seeing these graphics (again, for the same reason).
Hope this makes sense.
