Hi.  PS3 player here, on a six year old fat system with a digital version of the game, and I'll just say that the posted video matches my graphics pretty closely.  I've got a little more lag on some texture loading, but not much worse than what I experienced in Mass Effect 3.  Personally I think it looks just fine, save for maybe some of the facial hair, but then I've never been a big graphics person

I suppose it's a good thing I pre-ordered it for the PS4 then instead of the PS3. Granted I still have to work towards getting the system, but it'll be worth the wait.

 

But meh, different people are saying different things. It looks fine, it looks like ****, it looks like the **** that **** shits, etc.

 

Either way, doesn't affect me.

Christ. I thought the facial hair was bad enough in its complete form (from what I've seen it.... didn't look all that great).

 

It takes some serious skill to grow a patchy-as-**** stache like that. That dude's going places.

PS3 is a last generation console.

I didn't expect the down port to have amazing graphics.

 

Is there a reduction in story content?

Are the environments smaller?

Is there a lot less to do?

 

Those are my concerns.

Graphics are fine in the images I've seen.

 

I don't ask for much. As long as I can tell my characters apart from one another, one piece of scenery from another and tell a dragon apart from a patch of grass.

What is my definition of bad graphics?

 

Have you seen any of the old Atari video games? Granted graphics weren't great back then (thanks to technical limitations), but that to me is what bad graphics look like.

Neither did we. We just asked for the game's graphics to be up to the standard of last generation, what we got was a less than that. Well okay, maybe the game did meet last gen's graphical standard... of 2005.

Hey guys, really wanted to get this but now... its starting to feel like last gen was seriously lied to -___- its most likely a pointless question but...

Is the ps3 or 360 version better? (better as in more stable less glitches) any answers would be great and I think in a couple of days we should create a patch request post on here.

PS3 version is better. It has less graphical problems like ultra-shiny hair. That and you can't install it to your hard drive like a typical 360 game, you install 1 disk and then put another in and it needs to constantly read that off the disk and can't be installed. So your hard drive will have to work its ass off playing it. My 360 is a 2006 model and has never had a heat problem, and I attest that entirely to me never ever playing a game off the disk.

Yeah I kind of agree with you. Kinda of stupid to be complaining about poor graphics on an older version of console... and then expect to have the same performance on a newer version of games.

The level of ignorance spread throughout this thread is amusing. You people really expect a next generation engine to run on a 10 year old piece of hardware without severe compromises in quality? Be grateful they even gave you the opportunity to experience the game without having to buy a new console or spend even more money optimizing a pc. That people can be so clueless and get outraged when an inferior piece of equipment cannot handle a game as well as the latest hardware is baffling. And this is not just console players, I cannot even begin to count the amount of pc user who expected their craptop or 1 core processor 1.5 ghz desktop and geforce 520 graphics card to run the game at high/ultra settings, then proceed to bash Bioware when in reality they have no idea how to read minimum and recommended specs.

On ps3 slim, digital download, around four hours in....a very small amount of lag for a a few seconds when you go into a new area. But got to say in combat and dialogue cut scenes(where it matters most) it's smooth. Pop ins do occur but nothing I haven't seen on GTA V or Destiny,. As for the hot topic of controversy- "The hair"... It looks stuck on like you bought it at a cheap costume store but the shine ain't that bad(like some pic in here) or that ugly stash.

Now I was an early skyrim player on ps3 and yes I know what a shitty port means. This doesn't look bad honestly. A few more hours and I ll come back and report IF it gets bad.

you guys complaing about grapics on 8 year old console, bioware did the best they could done with giving you a game and   you still complain, i wopuld be grateful for them even trying to bring it to the last gen consoles, but hey maybe you should move on to next gen of you choice since after this year you will have only 2 years left of life on the last gen

If its exspected to be a weak port then the price should reflect it then.... $60 for a "ohh well it should be rubbish beacuse its on older console" in that case charge $30 for it!

No, I expect a game on a last-gen console to be to the same standard as other games on that same last-gen console. And no I won't be grateful, you act like they did it as a favor. No, they did it to hoodwink money out of people by making sure no one knew how crappy those versions were before they were out.

Exactly. If Bioware knew the last-gen versions were this much worse, why the f*ck am I having to pay full price for it?
