Because I don't see how all the Youtube videos can manage to make that look better.

I just checked on my amazon account and notice that my pre-order of the PC deluxe version is in In transit as we speak. The estimate day I will get the game will be on Thursday, November 20, 2014 by 8pm. Reading these comments is making me extremely nervous.

 

I just got mine today for the pc it looks amazing on my rig, no issues so far. The textures are really good especially on characters. I'm pretty sure this is just related to last gen consoles.

Last I checked my game...your hair is only shiny if it's on lower settings.I play ultra and I see no shiny hair.

Great, now we're going to make a big deal about the game not looking great on a years old console.

 

Like I'd play the game on my previous PC and whine about how I can't run it on ultra (or at all  )

There's a line in the sand that needs to be drawn though.  Of course nobody expects it to be up to the standards of the current console generation, but you have to surely agree that there is still a certain standard they need to meet, right?  They are charging full price for these games after all and they haven't exactly been very open in regards to the last gen version.  If they couldn't get it up to scratch they shouldn't have released it.

 

Of course I'm trying not to throw too much criticism myself at this point as I haven't seen it firsthand, but assuming these accusations are true I see nothing wrong with pointing out the failing.  Hopefully in the end it isn't too bad though...I guess I'll find out when it is played.

I'm glad to hear that The only thing that I need to do on my rig is to get a graphics card upgrade. I shamefully have I have GeForce GTX 550 Ti so when I eventually do play the game I'm not  going to be expecting Ultra performance with my current card installed on my rig.

A big ass patch for last gen I think would make people happy, just to make it stable and get rid of the bugs, yes it wont look like next gen but it can AT LEAST be a nice game that runs alright.

Having the mesh setting on High fixes the issue.

On Ps3, it seems to depend on hard/digital copy. Two people having the digital copy said if looks like the video on YT.

you guys complaing about grapics on 8 year old console, bioware did the best they could done with giving you a game and   you still complain, i wopuld be grateful for them even trying to bring it to the last gen consoles, but hey maybe you should move on to next gen of you choice since after this year you will have only 2 years left of life on the last gen

"best they could".... seeing those pics is telling me they didn't on last-gen consoles. Releasing DA:I on the old consoles was solely a choice of business. To grab sales on well-spread plattforms with minor effort. That's why nearly none footage was avaiable pre-launch. AAA Video games are business in the first place, the "should be grateful" audience comes second, every time.

I'm afraid it might be the case. Still, we don't have a large enough amount of people to be able say that the disk copies being faulty is for sure it.

say that the problem of plastic hair/beard is because of the limitation of ps3/xbox360 is ridiculous...

 

i have a very good pc and this problem is there too (of course not on ULTRA settings)

 

there are a lot of games that look very nice on ps3/xbox360

Dude, my graphics look absolutely terrible and I bought my 360 (brand new) in 2012.
PLUS, I have an HDMI cable.
