What is the point of this Topic? You can make amazing female inquisitors in CC, just have a look at this thread: http://forum.bioware...tor-here/page-1

Well just to let you know OP I disagree with you and that is your opinion that the females are ugly.

I dunno I spent a few hours trying to get a female Inquisitor to work well with the given resources, and I'm really no slouch in the character design department its kind of been a life long hobby/pseudo-career.

This is probably the first game where I've actually turned out better male characters than female ones. The resources just suit males better to a certain degree, the normals used in the complexions for example are very flattering to male physiognomy and aesthetics and work less well with females, the hairs go without saying, they are a complete disaster on women but males can pull off disaster hair quite well.

Initital experimentation with the female head morphs is not very promising but I've only had all of about 3 hours to dink around with it, all I can say is the male Inquisitor of my experimental push with the new CC turned out worlds above the female in aesthetics.

Well thats great, I'll be sure to correct myself if I find myself to be in error, but I'm not entirely sure why there needs to be a rabid defense against what is "my opinion".

Not just my opinion though, all the friends that have played tonight have said the same thing, that they can't make a female that suits their vision of who they are with the assets on hand. I've a few other girl friends that are in Australia that won't be able to weigh in for a bit though. So perhaps one of them will show us the light.

Yeah OP have you looked at the Inquisitor pic thread? There are some VERY attractive females as well as males. I don't think it's an either or, you and your friends might just have been surprised at how good looking the men can be and sorta devalue the females that way.

No, the chargen is amazing. Players are creating a lot of generic good looking characters with great success.

Its a good usage of the assets but it doesn't make that weird occipital bulge on the female head look any less weird. That hair is particularly unflattering with the way the temple to occipital curve seems to bulge out from the temple depression on the female head morph.

Whats more the heads are more or less rounded off and more flat than actual human skulls, it was a very weird head to try to work around.

Again I'm not saying its impossible to make good looking female Inquisitors and obviously its possible to design ones that at least have aesthetic personality to them...just saying the morphs were really weird and not as malleable as I've come to expect even from previous DA games, the morphs have far more in common with the ME head morph system than the DA one imho.

And again, I'm simply saying 3 hours of experimentation and thats my opinion. I'll be happy to be wrong...really, cause my DA characters are head canon females generally...though I've taken a shine to this male character I churned out.

Why are all your characters bomb shells? Not that I'm complaining.

Its kind of a habit at this point.

I'm going to keep trying to bend a female Inquisitor into a shape that doesn't look like a meth bust mug shot though. I tend to look at all character creation systems as a challenge...always have.

That's an interesting habit. I wish more people had that habit.

I am somehow hoping DA:I give me a score depending on how attractive it thinks I've made my character, just for laughs now that you've mentioned that.

Looking at thos pictures, we probably have a very different taste in terms of female characters, Sempiro, but I think it would be a good idea to show some of the female characters from the thread I linked, so we have some examples of great creations to look at. These are a few of my personal Highlights:

You obviously haven't looked at the thread where people are posting their Inquisitor. There are some VERY beautiful women there.

Personally, I like default CC more than modded MCs.

So, my Inquisitors are fine as is.

I wouldn't say I hate it because preference is preference but the OP seems to have a penchant for perfectly airbrushed, sultry looking barbie dolls going by his/her avvie and the posted pics. Which is fine but it's not really fair to say 'the CC is poor at making attractive female characters because they don't look like the ones I prefer.'

Are all those modded?

DA:O and Skyrim are, the middle one is UGC.

The Skyrim one is a lot of texture work and mesh stuff I worked up personally built on assets from extremely talented designers who live on ramen noodles.

So yes not specifically fair to compare stock DA:I to modded Skyrim. Let me see if I have a shot of my stock Skyrim character to be fair about it. Issue is..with the tools and the resources, I don't have any problem making attractive female characters that are diverse in their aesthetic personality (except maybe the continuing theme of black hair and blue eyes...which is just a thing with me).

...hrrm my unmodified Skyrim character stuff might be on my external drive, I'll have to do some hunting, its been a long time since I did shots of that.

That would be a tools problem then. I've made plenty of attractive women without mods. I just don't have as many pictures of them.

Love you are the one who stated that that you can't create good female in CC of DAI...I saw lots of folks in here making really cute and sexy females...so if you can't create attractive one yourself then problem is in you not in game.
