I wouldn't say I hate it because preference is preference but the OP seems to have a penchant for perfectly airbrushed, sultry looking barbie dolls going by his/her avvie and the posted pics. Which is fine but it's not really fair to say 'the CC is poor at making attractive female characters because they don't look like the ones I prefer.'

I'm not saying that. Theres nothing wrong with imperfections in fact depending on the character imperfections are better than perfections. The issue is the assets, the head morph is really bloody odd. The brows can't be manipulated without creating a Neanderthal brow ridge. The occipital curve of the skull is wrong and cannot be adjusted, the cranial curvature is also far too flat and cannot be changed either. The nasolabial ridge and chin to forehead ratio are well out of the golden ratio and cannot be forced anywhere near it. Whats worse is no matter how far you put the eyes apart the brows stay equidistant to each other regardless of any manipulations you make.

I'm not trying to make a barbie doll. I'm trying to make a character that fits my idea of what my female character would look like at this period in Thedas. So far even my earliest stock DA:O characters didn't look as horrific as what I'm turning up in DA:I.

Love you are the one who stated that that you can't create good female in CC of DAI...I saw lots of folks in here making really cute and sexy females...so if you can't create attractive one yourself then problem is in you not in game.

Of course it is, I mean the plethora of anatomical flaws I've pointed out are absolutely non-existent...I'm simply making them up. I'm also completely making up words like occipital.

Please stop trying to goad me into a fight. You're welcome to your opinion, I should should be welcome to mine.

Whats more none of you people are even appreciating the fact that I was happy with what I was able to do with males, you just want to fight because I think the CC is coming up short on the female side of things. Its silly, so, stop it. There are probably better things to do, like go make a pretty female inquisitor, enjoy the game and prove me wrong.

Well when you post a topic like this you are of course are going to get people who disagree with you such is the way of forums.

Care to try on a different argument than that?

So basically you don't like the skull shape and that you can't adjust the eyebrows enough? I haven't realized anything troubling about these things in the pictures I've seen so far, but then again I don't have the game yet, I haven't tried the CC for myself. But as long as I can make Inquisitors like the ones in the pics posted, I'm perfectly happy with the CC for females.

I wouldn't take offense because I realize people have different tastes. I tend to model after a certain design aesthetic, all my characters tend to have a lot of the same characteristics. And in all fairness they're only soulless to you because you haven't lived as those characters and I have, not a one of them is truly soulless. Not the way I play my characters. My Warden wasn't fake, my Dragonborn isn't fake, my Sims aren't fake....they're real to me.

Peoples concepts of what is beautiful are different, and thats a good thing, because it makes everyone unique to someone. I'm just saying....the challenge of making the default head morph for DA:I females do much other than make you thankful for helmets is extremely real.

Yes in very basic summary thats pretty much it. Its a given that the hair assets are a hilarious excuse for hair in a AAA title but I don't much worry about that as compared to the very strange cranial dimensions and nodal regions of the face that simply cannot be manipulated in any way such as brow distance.

The texture work is really good, some of the complexion normals do tend to go better with men than women but there are plenty of options there, the lashes are a bit...uh...well I'm not sure why they added them but its nice to have a tacit gesture in that department, make up is fairly good, but you can only slap so much paint on a collapsing barn of a face after all.

No I mean in the sense they don't look even remotely like a real woman to me.

OP, presumably you're telling us that this character looks good? I think he looks ridiculous. But I don't presume to tell you that this is a fact.

Many of the female Inquisitors posted in this thread look great.

No of course not thats a well worked character, the issue is its a repetitive result, almost all the 'attractive' female characters I've seen for DA:I look more or less like that. And its because the anatomical issues with the head morph seem to only produce a very limited set of aesthetic combinations, far less than I expected at least.

Thats an argument I don't care to engage in. There are plenty of real women that look like that. Otherwise we wouldn't know what women that looked like that looked like in the first place.

If you care to engage yourself in the pursuit of finding out though, simply type  "fitness model" into Google, I'm sure you'll find plenty of 'real women' that look more or less like my characters...in their own ways. Just because a woman is a fitness model...or an actress, or a model in general, doesn't mean shes not a real woman.

I don't know, I was happy with the result. Other people appear to agree he doesn't look all that bad. But everyone has their own taste after all.

I avoided that thread because I wanted to work out the CC for myself. I also didn't want to have my hopes for hair that seemed plausibly realistic to be dashed either...so yes I did not look over that thread very much at all.

And again I'm going to keep trying, I just don't know that I can fix problems that don't have a slider that allows me to fix them is all.

I think all you need is to get used to CC hon.I know that when I start new game and work with new CC it really takes time for me to get familiar with that CC.So in your place I would play with CC as much as I can to get in touch with it better  ;)

Well if you figure out a way to increase the distance between the brows, please feel free to let me know, the head issues can be hidden by certain hairs but that brow problem is going to drive me right off a cliff.

I'm one of unlucky guys in UK xD so until I get game I'm afraid I can't tell much about is it possible to distance brows(I'm not sure if I once saw in one of threads is that option possible)I will try to scroll trough my history list to check that out for you.

Its a good usage of the assets but it doesn't make that weird occipital bulge on the female head look any less weird. That hair is particularly unflattering with the way the temple to occipital curve seems to bulge out from the temple depression on the female head morph.

Whats more the heads are more or less rounded off and more flat than actual human skulls, it was a very weird head to try to work around.

Again I'm not saying its impossible to make good looking female Inquisitors and obviously its possible to design ones that at least have aesthetic personality to them...just saying the morphs were really weird and not as malleable as I've come to expect even from previous DA games, the morphs have far more in common with the ME head morph system than the DA one imho.

And again, I'm simply saying 3 hours of experimentation and thats my opinion. I'll be happy to be wrong...really, cause my DA characters are head canon females generally...though I've taken a shine to this male character I churned out.

It's an optical illusion.

Her head isn't "bulging" out it's just our brains trying to make sense of the (horrid) hairstyle that is causing the bulge.

It's all quite fascinating.

Guys...

You can't really argue someone into changing what they find appealing when it comes to physical features. It's a very very subjective matter.

So the OP is merely saying that they are unable to create a female character they find appealing.

From experience, I know I'm into rugged good looks while i dislike soft features. All the arguing in the world won't make me create a twink male elf over a jock human. :D

Similarly, the OP wants bombshells for women and can't get it done and the OP finds non-bombshell women to look comparatively ugly. Nor can the OP convince you s/he is right.
