I've honestly been seeing that look a lot for Lavellan, here's mine on ps3:
Gotta Love that messy Hair
I was thinking catty.
edit: Just occurred to me how much hair gel you'd need to get a slick like that... dayum.
She Look gorgeous Jazz !
I think that that girl proves the point of this post.
This girl too.

She's nice. Though as the poster said a bit plain.
Because it's very very hard to model long hair that doesn't clip. Some modelers do it better than others and since there are no long hairstyles at all, I'd guess that this is one that doesn't do it well. This is quite a question though, whyt does bioware seem to avoid long hair styles like the dickens? Its not some impossible feat nowadays... you can tell me short hair is the only way we can have good cinematics.

Definitely possible to make amazing femquizzies
(based off of one posted by Cathorae)

I'd agree that they chose basic head meshes which make it difficult to achieve a result that would conform to common standards of female beauty. The male meshes seem to work better.
As a thread in the CC-subforum makes clear, the default meshes do quite significantly "violate" classic rules of facial proportions and while I agree that it's not necessary that the femquisitor looks strikingly beautiful, IMO BW shouldn't make it unnecessarily hard or even impossible for the player to build such a character if he/she so desires. It's a fantasy after all.
The frustrating thing about the CC is that it offers the illusion of creative control - there is such a lot of sliders, it must be possible to build about every face there is, no? - but the truth is that you are very limited by the basic meshes they offer, and that can lead to frustration when trial after trial to create the face you are looking for fails.
Elves fare somewhat better (I think there really are some stunning examples showcased), but I guess that's down to the fact that we accept a more exotic beauty in them (or that the meshes are simply "better").

Female Qunari are by far the worst offenders and hardest to make work IMO. I had help thanks to a few sliders posted and figured out the trick soon after but damn if I wasn't making some "Applied face to belt sander" type characters initially.

I've heard male Qunari are very fond of that look ![]()

"Does she have horns at least?" "Yes.." "Whew, I was worried...I'd hit it."

"And the nicest udder you can think of, Boss!" - Wait, do female Qunari have udders?
nah your thinking of Elves... i think.

No, of Elks.
The ones with udders, that is.
Ahh thats the one.
I think my mage here had the same look as I do when I read the OP:

Yeah, I mean, it's possible that other people may not love my character as much as I love her, but they're all wrong, so whatever:

Male inquisitors starting counter attack!

Very nice. ![]()
I actually have no problems in making pretty inquisitors. My only irk is that we don't have enough hair choices and that's it. o.o
Can't wait creating an elf for my next play through
These are a couple of my favorites I've seen posted:

Actually, I have an easier time with humans. I guess I just know them better, lol.
I'm kind of in agreement with the OP here. Try and make a human female with a heart shaped face rather than a square jaw and it's pretty much impossible.
Example: http://img1.ndsstati...565a_large.jpeg
utterly impossible =(
I don't know about that. I haven't tried with a human yet, but it seems pretty easy to create a heart shaped face with an elf.

This CC seems to do strong jaws really really well. But I guess if you're trying to create doll-like and delicate it might be a bit tougher. I might suggest an elf if you're going for delicate, though. All of the races seem to have their own characteristic "look" this time around.
As for brows, I did notice that they look either really plucked or really bushy in the CC, but I ended up loving the ones I picked. Perhaps the limitation on moving them has to do with the need to emote the faces? The PC is much more expressive than in previous games.
