The only thing that stands out about her is how much better looking she is than everybody else in the game.

Which...is why I made the suggestion I did. In messing with the CC I made a few characters where I emphasized the features that most people think of as beautiful in women (large eyes, petite nose, delicate jaw) and I found I just couldn't play with them because they looked so out of place. Especially with makeup that emphasized the eyes even more. It was personal preference, of course. Lots of people like playing as bombshells. But in Inquisition I found myself toning it down a lot (no makeup, smaller eyes, strong jaw, stubborn chin) and vastly preferring the outcome. Again, personal preference.

Plus Bioware has given most of the elves that weird nose thing, and largish eyes so i dont know where you are getting this from.

according to DA lore elves have large eyes and are considered highly attractive to humans, this is my version of an "elf with large eyes that is considered highly attractive to humans".

Well Bioware seems to be trying to strike a balance between Origins elves (who basically looked like short, skinny humans with long ears) and DA2 elves (who looked very alien). If you look at Sera, you can see that she does have large eyes. Just not supermodel-large. Most of the elves have slightly larger eyes. But it's not the eyes themselves but the face shape that emphasizes them. Elves tend to have higher cheekbones and more triangular faces. Many elves also kept the characteristic flat noses that the DA2 elves had (see: solas, sera), though it no longer seems to be mandatory. I think Bioware succeeded in giving them a characteristic "look" while making them look less alien than they did in DA2.

I think more hair choices would help...some of them are just....bad. Let's hope for some mods....soon.

Mods would be great but i fear it will all be animey stuff as usual. Really miss the medievaly braids from Origins.

Making such a topic is just daring people to post all of their beautiful characters... Like I am doing right now.

haha, her lips ended up being glossier than i wanted them to, which also makes them look bigger but there isnt anything i can do about it. Plus everyone in DAI looks like theyve had botox, very shiny, but not everyone who has full lips, has it through surgical means though- and i was being tongue-in-cheek, she is faaar from ugly by conventional standards.

Of course a person who doesn't understand the culture (probably a European) will respond with something "like it's not so bad it just needs more salt" and in so doing will accidentally cause great insult to the chef.

there are human females irl with large eyes and some with very full lips, Irina Shayk, melissa theariu Anne hathaway, Ariana Grande, Angelina Jolie, aishwarya rai, candice swanepoel, doutzen kroes, adriana lima and many others. Granted they are all actresses and models    My chars proportions are relatably human, unlike many of the other creations around this forum, it just so happens that only 0.001% of females have them. Her eyes arent even that large. Even in this very thread and in the char customization part of the forum, lots of people make weird looking characters with large and odd eye sizes and proportions with makeup that makes their characters proportions look even odder. Im sensing some bizarre form of resentment from certain people here  Feminine and beautiful women can be strong and capable too, nobody calls into question all the hunky guys that are posted, but as soon as a classically feminine beauty is introduced there have to be "suggestions" and accusations of surgery from bitter people. Homely dudes and chicks arent the only ones that can be "strong", despite what some of them they like to tell themselves!

The only thing that stands out about her is how much better looking she is than everybody else in the game. Im the one playing my game and she doesnt stand out and look "odd". Personally, I think her whole face looks puffy and the eyes look like they cross slightly, though the latter is probably not your fault. That other guy just suggested some improvements. Get over yourself.

If you can not make a uniquely beautiful female character in this game you just aren't trying hard enough or have unreal expectations of what beauty is.

I'd happily trade the ease in which I can create cool looking females (I'm a guy and prefer male PCs most of the time). I don't think they got the ugly stick at all. And the female complexions are way better. Males either look too young and smooth like a baby's butt, or leathery with their face bones protruding a little too much. Sometimes they look great in some lighting, but on average females fare better no matter the environment.

I see where you are coming from, but I always strive for the bombshell look though. Me saying that she was ugly, was just a tongue-in-cheek response to this thread and some other posts that suggested you cant make a very feminine classically pretty woman. In regards to the, elves, Solas for example doesnt have quite as flat of a nose as Sera. its interesting that bioware choose to give the elves in DAI a mix of looks, with some looking elfier according to their new design and other looking "normal", my elf is on the latter spectrum, although taken up a notch, in terms of classic beauty. I prefer tolkiens ideas of elves though in general

Stating that many people are homely, and evidently very bitter about it  *hint* *hint* is a simple fact. She only looks puffy in one screenshot but her cheekbones are gaunt and clearly defined, her face looks very skinny in the char creator and in 99.9% of the game, what exactly does "puffy" mean to you?had i made it any skinnier she would look distorted and skeletal. She is still classically pretty, but that doesnt mean she doesnt have any flaws, every face has flaws. Certain people will look for them when they need to feel better about themselves.

She looks puffy in any straight view, probably because of the pronounced cheek bones. On the shots where she is looking at a slight angle, you can see the curves of her face and she looks much better.  I don't know if the homely comment was directed at characters or at me and others IRL, but we didn't need the sermon.

Yours looks like mine only my elf wears infinitely more make up. I am just disappointed with the hair style options as this is really the only pretty one and I don't want to keep making characters that all look the same.

It seems like a lot of people are disappointed with the hairstyles across the board.

hehe keep on nitpicking, youre exaggerating, because you felt slighted by what i said, i understand. None of these shots are from a straight angle, btw. Her face is very shiny, as is everybody elses, in that sense everybody looks puffy. Her cheeks dont portrude as much as you are suggesting, and had i made them flatter, something else would look off and her face would have been both flat, looked longer, hollow and very gaunt. Thats how proportions and ratios on a face work. Like i said, it was very skinny in the chargen, and i only see puffiness in one shot. I didnt say anything that wasnt true, you yourself "liked" jellos post, who suggested my char was too feminine, which means you are likely one of the people that have the mindset feminine women need to be masculinized. I like to play very feminine women, as i am one myself. At any rate, my response to both you and jello were unnecessarily bitchy, which i apologize for. There is no point in arguing about something this unimportant either way,

I think that character creator is a misnomer. It's more apt to call it a character modifier. I don't see a whole lot of improvement between what we have now to what we had with ME1.You get 5 premade faces and off of that you get 9 more premade faces which amounts to 45 faces to work with. Now you want to create say lips, but you don't actually create them you pick from 10 premade lips. The only thing you can now do is change size, position, and width.i have yet been able to recreate my nose. I think they took a step in the right direction with way they allowed you to customize the inner and outer eye color but that's about it. It would be nice in some future game to actually have a neutral face to work with and be able design your own eyes, mouths, noses, etc. That would truly be character creation.

Oh without a doubt the hair options in DA:I are absolutely horrible! Honestly who's idea was it to not give us at least 2-3 long hair options? I get it, Women are supposed to have shorter hair because it doesn't make much sense to have long flowing hair when you're in the middle of combat. It could get in the way and probably get you killed, but that's fine! Just give me that option dammit! I'm not a fan of short hair, like at all. I love my women with nice long, silky hair and they completely robbed me of that option. I also think they didn't add long hair because it would cause problems with clipping. Due to the nature of this engine the hair would more than likely clip through armor and they probably didn't want to go through the trouble of re-hauling certain physics just to make it work.

Maybe next time, though. I really hope they drop the Frost Bite engine for the next game. It's about time they either make their own or use one that isn't as stiff and limiting as the Frost Bite engine.
