Or Maybe mommy Trevalyan liked horny peopleDa hell.
I'm getting the Trevelyan person quest on the War Table too. The 'Friends of the Trevelyans' one.
Am I adopted?
Sorry for you Snook.

Maybe it's a secret background? ![]()
But really, I hope this gets fixed soon.
Well, I guess this answers the notorious 'can humans and Qunari have babies?' question.
Blah. I'm gonna have to postpone this playthrough until this gets a fix. ![]()
Hearing about things like this makes me feel a little better for having to wait till friday until I can play DAI.
"The day one patch" is surely been released then and I can enjoy a much more bug-free experience than day-one players.
IKR? It's like we get thousands of bug testers. /smug
So the big question is....
Is this only for PC Users?
And if so, is this for *everyone* or just some people?

I'm so starting to love UK for getting this game last XD

I am playing on Xbox One -about 7 hours in. Have not seen this error. I play as a Dalish Male. All race and gender flags seem to be working. Josephine called me "Master Lavellan," among many, many other references to my race. And I got the quest for Clan Lavellan. No gender confusion eiither.
I wonder if there will be same confusion when yo try to do romance xD
Heard poor Cullen was getting gender confused. XD

Japan gets it last I think, 27th?
Apparently there has been gender confusion too.
Yeah apparently my PC had a sex change while I wasn't looking.
Find it funny more then anything.
at least he got it for free
Haven't experienced any of that yet, thankfully. Seems like male Inquisitors are getting it more than female.
It has happened to me & it's very unsettling. "That's her. That's the herald of andraste" they said to my male qunari. Disgusting.
Edit: PC user.

I think I got just the X names sounds familiar when only the Human should know stuff. But I didn't pick those options because I just assumed it was bs like dalish elf in origins knowing WTF a teryn was.
Blegh. And Josephine has once again addressed me as 'Lady Trevelyan' and asked about my 'parents.'
Ugh. I quit. I'm probably missing so much stuff that should be exclusive to my race...but instead, I'm getting this.
FFS. This isn't even entertaining anymore, now it's just bloody frustrating. ![]()
Definitely not getting this game until further notice. These bugs are more important to me than anything UI/controls related.
Good call. That's 7 hours down the drain on a playthrough that I'm now considering botched because of this.
Finally a gripe i can get behind. this need a patch stat.
I really hope this gets fixed soon for you and all others that are having the same problem.
Can be funny for a while, but if you want to play the game...yeah, well, you know, it seems very frustrating that it isn't working properly. ![]()
How did the reviews miss this one?
Money, dear boy. Lots and lots of delicious money.
If you think EA didn't buy masses of positive pre-release reviews in a desperate bid to mitigate the preorder devastation caused by ME3's ending, then I have several invisible bridges you may be interested in purchasing.
You only have to read a few lines lost in the middle of some of the "professional" reviews, where things like "well, there are some glitches" are mentioned in passing, to taste the ambivalence of sheepish reviewers wishing to sleep guilt-free at night knowing they *technically* told the truth about the game. Technically...

Not to defend them (either BW or the reviewers) cos this is quite an inexcusable bug and should not have passed QA, but I suspect this broke due to Day 1 patch, which the reviewers did not get. Also, a lot of reviewers seem to have been playing on console, not PC, and I think this issue is mainly cropping up on PC. Given the size of this game, some bugs are expected, but this is so obvious it should have been caught.
Mark Darrah on his twitter feed said they are looking into the gender issues, so I'm sure they will be also looking into this. A lot of these issues seem to be linked. For example, one of characters (Male Elf Mage) is getting gender issues, and the other (Female Elf Rogue) is not. For the one getting the gender issues, I also have:
- some strange camera angles (close ups of my character's face are often off base, so it only shows his mouth and torso, and not his face),
- clothes mysteriously being changed when I fall down the bridge
- Any time another character touches my character, their hands are slightly to the right, not directly on my character. For example, when Cass picks him up and puts both hands on his shoulders, the hands are hovering and patting in the air to the right of his shoulders. Same thing when Solus holds his hand to the breach.
- Sometimes, Cass' voice has a lot of echos (I suspect the different versions of the VO are overlapping)
I tried restarting, and then swapping the gender cards again and again (rather than just clicking once on male, clicking male, female, male female, male), then started with another Male Elf Mage, and the issue went away.
So could try to do that to see if that resolves the race issues as well. The good thing is that for the gender issue you immediately know that there is an issue because in the first scene, Lelianna refers to him as a "her"
I've had some dialogue not being spoken. I don't have the subtitles on so I thought at first my game froze. Nothing like what has been happening to others. ![]()
