Hey peeps, just wanted to ask whether I need PS+ to upload my keep data on PS4. I know you need it for MP, but I dont really care for that atm, just want to know if I need it to upload my keep data.
I think I know what the answer is, I just wanted to confirm it with people.
Just bought a PS4 and it basically destroyed my wallet (Im a uni student) so Im holding off on PS+.

You shouldn't, you aren't really doing anything online

True enough. I have it hooked up to the internet and everything, I just noticed that you need PS+ for pretty much freaking everything. Wanted to make sure I could get my save file without PS+.

I've been wondering this too.
Since you just log into the Origin account to recieve/send data, and now seeing you can stream video and use the browser (including the Keep website) without PS+, I've been thinking that there's a better chance that a sub won't be needed, but then again, there's DAMP, so the Keep might be tied into needing a sub for that.

Haven't got PS+ on it myself yet, but so far the only thing I've run into that's been walled by PS+ was using online multiplayer? A good 3/4ths of the other functions (AU territory) are usable without the sub. But anyway, that's irrelevant!
Hopefully PS+ isn't needed. Access to The Keep doesn't really seem like the sort of thing that would be walled behind a sub, but it could be either way.
Oh, if you haven't used PS+ before on your PSN account (or one of the others on the system) there's a free 15 day trial in the store, under the PS+ section. You could activate that.

Yeah Im in AU myself ![]()
I didnt notice the PS+ trial so if I DO require PS+, I should be able to just activate that. I highly doubt its needed though, would be a rather silly move on the devs part since keep is REQUIRED to import a save file. I already suspected the multiplayer would be barred without a sub, but yeah.

DON'T KNOW if its the same thing but FIFA 15 connects to the EA servers without PS+, so I highly doubt that DAI will need it.

Oh hi ![]()
And agreed. it'd be a little bit of a disaster if suddenly they were faced with a large group of people unable to start because they couldn't import.
The trial is in a sort of semi-hidden area of the store and isn't immediately visible from the PS+ page (likely intentional). Can't recall exactly, but it's through one of the tiles at the top of the page that lists the paid subs. They may offer it on first PSN login but users have to dig around for it after that ![]()

Alright, guess I gotta do some digging lol
Either way, I doubt I'll need it. I might use it to play some multiplayer until I get paid next.
God, If I go to sleep at 12...I should be able to sleep until lunch time then immerse myself in some other games until its bed time again, then sleep until 7am and walk into the city to pick up Inquisition. Then I can die happy.
