Because a good chunk of the people complaining are doing so in a way that is neither constructive nor helpful. That's the problem.

I can understand being frustrated and saying "Hey, Bioware, this is a problem."

The "I want a refund, this game sucks shame on you Bioware" is not constructive.

"Expecting the game to work on day one is unrealistic" is not constructive either, but it doesn't seem to be stopping you.

Maybe not $10 but surely $20. About two months after Mass Effect 3 came out I saw people selling copies new on Amazon for that cheap with free shipping.

I got the game not of interest but because a friend and I flipped a coin and who lost would have to play it. He played ME3 and gave me his feedback, I'm going to do the same for DAI. Why waste all that money?

The fact is, we gamers are some of the worst kinds of customers out there. Nobody has any idea how games are made, and yet we expect everything to be perfect right away, or GIVE ME MAH MONEY BACK.

And, working in retail just makes me more patient. So to me, just because a game is buggy at launch does not make it bad. People need to chill out. Day 1 Patch will be out today. TODAY is day 1. Not yesterday, not two days ago. Today. Chill out.

1. It's the Publisher's PR Hype coming back and biting them in the butt when Reality hits the players

2. Game developers, having conditioned its user base to certain Mechanical/Tactical gameplay,

surreptitiously make changes, throwing everyone off the horse.

3. Game developers using a Demanding Game Engine useful only with powerful hardware,  decides  to port it to Last Gen hardware. plastic hair anyone?...

If a person thinks the game is worth it, then its not wasting money.

Really? Willing to buy a new car that won't work on day one?

Expecting a game to work on day one isn't unrealistic.

Expecting it to be perfect, is. Name a single game released in the past five years that's been bug free.

Well the PC controls are indeed awkward, managable but awkward, and the start of the game doesn't give much of depth of gameplay.

What breaks it is the no English text option, like, seriously ? who tough it would be a brilliant idea to not have English text with English voiceover ?

Interesting. Because I have saved video clips of the Inquisitor talking to his companions and the text is

seen on top of the screen.

Well, there's a certain expactable lack of perfection and then there's this:

P.S.: did I mention that I spent the first couple hundred hours of playing DA:O cursing pretty much continuously? The fact that I continued playing anyway is a testament to its awesomeness, but it didn't ascend the throne of all-time favourite game until I was 300-400 hours into it.

Well my experience has been different than most I guess.  Games been running great.

Specs.

I5 3550k cpu

670 gpu

8 gigs o ram

Run it on high not ultra.  Graphics menu could be a bit clearer the descriptions which are meant to simplify things are a bit vague in my opinion.  Trees for some reason Bioware just can't deal with getting trees rendered well lol.  I don't know why.  Other imperfections in graphics are apparent.  Overall very beautiful game though in my opinion.

Liking the game quite a bit so far.  The controls on the PC version are a drawback though...playing a dagger rogue they aren't quite precise enough.  Will try it on the big screen at some point with a controller.

Really enjoying the gameplay so far. Thought the story started a little to quick, but then they may be justified later on (don't comment on that please will find out for myself :).

So much to do in this game.

when there is good stuff in a game then no one mentions it but if there is one bad part then they complain for centuries

I've never played one of those before.

.hack and Sword Art Online are like single player MMOs. I can't speak for Sao but I loved the first .hack series.

I will have the game on thursday so I hold judgement to play and adapt to how it works on PC.
still hype from developers been huge, they really think they did good.

behaviours from people are expected if the game has issues with PC controls and you cant play with precision as a PC game should play then Bioware have to find a way to fix and patch that asap if its the case.

I just think, will I have fun?
If I encounter annoying stuff that cant be circumvented, lets assure I be vocal here if thats the case.

I been banned lots on the EA forum due the crap BF4 is.

Wait.... there are no subtitles? Like, we can't make all dialogue, even random banters, pop up in text? That's .... a shame. It might actually be a bit frustrating for someone whose English is not a first language, and you have to struggle understanding a variety of accents and no reliable way to just, you know, read what is being said.... Am I getting this right?

They meant there are no English subtitles in case of different default language. Let's say you have Portuguese version. You play it with English voice over and Portuguese subtitles. Can't change the text to English .

Maybe i'm just easy to please, but I don't get why people are trashing this game. So far, aside from a few easily patched bugs, I see nothing that warrants such scrutiny. I think this game has so far most definitely lived up to it's hype.

It can't live up to the hype of people who wanted a isometric pseudo-turn-based game that ignored the thousand of hours of available gameplay videos out there.

Also, some people seems incapable of learning new control setup and tuning their keybindings to suit themselves, so form them the control sucks. Once I fix the keybinding, everything works fine for me (except for my dying right mouse button mouse, not related to the game, I had that problem for 2-3 weeks now).

'The hype is real!' to 'This game is bad.' in less than 24 hours.

It's Dragon Age 2 all over again.

Only difference this time is that I was actually able to mildly enjoy DA2 in contrast to DA:I.

I agree with this. People are also stating there's no auto attack, but if you enter tac cam there most def is. And it's not like you have to watch the battle from the clouds in tac cam either, you can adjust the camera angle to pretty much any direction you could want.
