As far as the tactical camera goes, I found that it didn't work properly and correctly in DA:O. And I liked it when they removed it in DA2! I only ask one thing of Bioware: please let me pause the game (via the spacebar!) and issue orders and commands to my team mates in my - ehm - team. And by that I mean, real orders and commands. Not those I've seen and heard which apparantluy are in DAI; tell the rogue to move to a spot, tell Varric to attack, and then he attacks with a special attack he himself has chosen or?
I don't understand why people want the tactical camera back in DA series; simply because I find that I it do not work...as it should.

PC controls suck (mouse buttons need to be bindable, default controls are awkward, no auto attack outside tac cam, all of which should be fixable)

Normandy's resource scanner sucks (please return the original DA method of highlighting all lootable objects in large area using tab)

Looting sucks (why was DA2's mechanic axed? I dislike DA2, but the looting mechanics there were perfect)

With that said, I am enjoying the game.  Will take another few days to adjust controls to work for me, but even the default ones are (somewhat) workable.  I know that different people look for different things in their games.  DAI works for me.  If the annoyances listed above get patched, the game will move from good to excellent.  Not regretting purchasing it.

As I understand it, the Frostbite 3 engine was created for making FPS games, not RPGs. So Bioware had to make the Frostbite 3 engine understand how deal with attributes, (might explain why there's no attribute points for players to use when leveling up), skills, leveling, party gameplay, banter between characters, dialogue wheel, choice and consequence for actions etc. etc. A lot of this might explain some of the things people on pc are complaining about e.g. no paperdoll to outfit or why armor now comes in once piece instead of three pieces in DA:O or DA2. It might even even explain to a certain degree why there is no healing spells in DAI; the engine hasn't yet leaned how to handle these. But the engine can handle medpacks e.g. healing potions...

Sounds like the PC Master-Race isn't happy about something. Alert the presses.

Maybe you should stop buying Bioware games, PC Master-Race. I'm sure we'll miss your endless sense of entitlement and self-importance.

But we'll soldier on, somehow...

So basically you are hoping that Bioware loses half of their customers, and this will be a good thing for the franchise?

The 3 current issues i have with the game

1. The Controls being awful and not being able to edit them.

2. The bloody removal of the Tactic system for Companions, since their AI is awful.

3. The Camera system for the Tactic Interface being god awful, which makes number 2 even worse.

Those 3 things are very annoying this game, despite it being a good game.

Things like that are usually what makes games who could have been superb games end up being mediocre games. Seen it time and time again.

Half? doubtful.

As they will get new customers to replace them, and those new customers won't be shrill prima-donnas who pathetically rage about how awful it is that everything isn't a top-down isometric from 1999.

I tried to change it to "Super Console-Peasant Who Is Sick of Listening to PC-Users Complain" but it was too long.

Voicing concerns about clunky controls and some major bugs = complaining about the game not being from 1999?

Bioware do read these threads, you know. And when people point out bugs and whatnot, they just might fix the issues in the next patch.

Probably true. Still...I doubt it will do the franchise any good if a third of the customers disapear.

And you are fed up with this, right? So since you don't want to see this anymore, you read threads where PC users complain about the game etc. How is that working for you?

The 1/3 that want the game to be a clone of a clunky mess from 2007 could go away and I think they would do better then catering to them and losing everyone else.

They didn't cater to them with DA2. Look how that one turned out. The sales dropped and dropped after a few weeks. More people liked DA:O than DA2. Even on consoles.

These pc vs console posts are boring and inappropriate. If a console user told me that they get choppy frames in Assassins Creed Unity or that in DA:O there was no isometric view (on console) and they hated that, I don't mock them, everyone is entitled to their opinion and complaints are welcome as long as they're constructive. Even small issues if repetative enough can make a game annoying

Instead people like you (on both sides) try to fan the flames of a fictional war. Just like there are PC users who unjustifiably think all console users are 14 year old COD players who are sore losers and are racist, bigoted and offensive there are console users that fell that PC users shouldn't complain that a dev lied when they said the also developed it for pc and that we should happily pay the same price you do for the lower production values. If you were an afterthough in a developers production and felt bad about it then you would also be entitled to your opinion. If a bug wasn't found that could be noticed 10 mins into the game and wasn't patched for ps4 or xbone then you should complain. There cannot be double standards

I'll admit the screaming is uncalled for but don't mock people with legitimate concerns

Don't deify console users. There are equally bad console users. If your game runs on old gen consoles you can see torrents a week or more before release of the full game. You don't even have to deal with DRM - you have even less reason to pirate .This makes the assertion that pc gamers are all pirates who get upset over nothing and are killing game companys funny. Go see how many torrents exist for ios and androif too.Go on metacritic. Choose your platform of choice. Also see many people giving games 0 and unrealistically high scores. Same as pc

The idea of a Master Race should've stopped after WWII

Oh video game forums, may your excitable overenthusiasm forever give way to jaded senses of dissapointment and betrayl upon a game's release. <3

Seriously though, all the problems being talked about have been fairly obvious in gameplay videos for ages. A lot of you even got to pre-play the game for six hours. Why are the game's problems suddenly a new thing, or did lots of people just go on blackout and not get the heads up?

People are spoiled, impatient, and have unrealistic expectations.  On the other hand, companies shouldn't release big money games until they work right on all platforms.  That's just crazy greed, and it happens more and more often.

Very true. I played it on both PC and Xbox, and the xbox version was rather clunky.

Seems it is switched around this time, though. The game wasn't really made with the PC in mind.

I've got quests all over, but I try to play them all, too.
