Oh wow. Well, I'm sorry controls seem to be a problem on PC. I'm playing on Xbox One, and have very few complaints. Sure, some of the UI is clunky, but that's with most RPGs, honestly. But overall the game is absolutely fantastic, and at 15+ hours in, I am enjoying every moment.

For me, the top things that make a good RPG game are good writing, deep characters, story, being able to build your character, choices, smooth combat, excellent graphics...in pretty much that order. DA:I delivers all of that for me, so I am a happy gamer.

After living with this game for a few days and having vented on the forums I can say that I take one point off for the unoptimised controls and the lack of ai. Another for the performance (though mostly based on others problems than my own). Other issues are bugs, though some of which should be avoidable. Personally I like the lore of dragon age - inconsistent as it can be so I'll give it an 8. As long as I don't get dead tired of playing the game like in skyrim I'm sure it'll stay this way. I always wanted another Dragon Age game and since I purposefully lowered my expectations coming into this, I'll be fine. I just hate the controls and the developer lies .

I keep on thinking about Skyrim when I saw this. I played it on pc and thought the UI was consolised and illogically laid out. Then I played on my friends ps3...where I found the UI clunky and annoying. I guess developers you just can't win with me :P . I should also be amanding my rating to -100000 since you don't have a mabari companion :D

I honestly can't believe people are hating on the game. It's like a bad dream. I'm having an absolutely blast both with the combat and the story.

Complaining about the game on this forum has helped me come to terms with my issues with DA:I. I fell better and enjoy inquisition more than I did two days ago. THis has been theraputic :D. Thanks for understanding Bioware ;)

I'm not joking, I'm blown away by this game so far. The 30 minute long story moments you get after Act 1 is breathtaking. I really can't stand gamers sometimes, they're SO needy. I understand the PC controls are a bit frustrating, for now. But I simply don't understand the people saying this game sucks or is merely decent. It's like what the hell were you expecting? The goddamn moon?

Mass Effect 1 had one of the worst combat systems I've seen for a TPS. But nobody can say with a straight face that wasn't a good game.

Mass Effect 1 was the source of all evil :P . You have x items in your inventory and are running out of space . 10 mins later: you are running out of inventory space...

I pick up every single thing and want to carry them around forever ;)

This.  I have the trilogy for a console rather than PC, and the combat system is the single most aggravating thing in ME1 for me.  Well, that and I felt it took a while for the story to really hook you in - which is a huge liability in the first game of an IP.

Mass Effect 1 was the only ME that i liked, I loved its combat system and I loved fooling around in mako. I can't understand why people hate mako, and why would you say ME1 combat is bad.

JK. I can and I do. Maybe because I can grasp the concept of pepole having different tastes *pointing at your 5th sentence*

That's because the copies the reviewers got were from a newer print, and had the bugs fixed. A lot of consumers would have gotten older copies of the game, printed to meet deadline.

Well, I did say 'in less than 24 hours' so some people just enjoy being negative/nitpicky I suppose.

And you know this how? And doesn't it just add more weight that we consumers are getting royally screwed over?

I liked the Mako, I just sucked at finding good routes to the top of mountains. I got really tired of climbing them all the time, and failing when I took a bad route. Otherwise the Maco was a blast. I liked the combat system also. It was a little hard replaying ME1 after playing the other 2, but over all I liked it.

A singleplayer MMO?

I've never played one of those before.

An MMO - an MMOROG is a multiplayer RPG.

A single player MMO is an RPG

They are the same thing.

The PC control controversy, #pccontrolgate, is way overblown. The controls work fine. I did almost an entire battle just using the keyboard. Not sure how that's a problem.

Oh PC users can use the controls over time but it's a ridiculous hassle that can easily be fixed.

What class were you playing? You can't even walk using the keyboard (you can with a game pad). The keyboard controls need work. Plain and simple. This is a game, not a job.

And since I'm on the subject of a job; why am I spending so much time grinding for crap? The Hinterlands, half the quests are classic "get x of this". Feel like I'm playing Warcraft.

The developers lied about tactical camera ! They said it will be like dragon age 1 top down view for the PC and instead we got a piece of crap. I actually want to use DA2 mouse and keyboard controls then the ones from DA 3.

Still doesn't solve the tactical camera and with no auto attack and run outside of it, we will be force to use it.

And it was clunky for consoles....because Bioware didn't have consoles in mind when it was developed.Yet you can complain about this and mock others. However the "PC Master race" can't say anything else we're "ungrateful"

I'm not complaining. I got that the game was a port of a PC game and thus is was a mess on consoles. But that doesn't meam they should make all their games for PC and expect the console-users to suck it up because PC-users are picky and shrill.

As a PC gamer I also don't expect them to screw up the port for the PC version which would be unwise seeing as PC games made the most revenue in 2013 and we have a refund option in the origin website thanks to some console gamers giving us the link.

PC users aren't asking for that though. The PC control scheme is clearly deficient even if you ignore the trollish responses. The answer is to develop separate UI and control scheme for consoles and PCs that are fully functional for both. They have clearly not done that.
