I see PC users complaining that its a terrible port, with terrible controls, and terrible optimization.

 

Honestly, the controls are fine, I don't see whats wrong with it, unless you use a gamepad, which I feel is clunky. Using a keyboard seems smoother and easier.

 

Optimization is great, haven't encountered any bugs and I'm getting above 60fps on ultra with a 780ti.

 

The gameplay is fun, and challenging. Has anyone actually played the game? Or are they just reading **** on forums, and base their opinions on that?

Most are probably trolls.... if you look at most of the posters, it's usually their 1st or 2nd post....

MrAwesome234, you are lucky to have the game running smoothly and enjoy it. But there are people with real issues and there are features which are missing (like toggle walk/run). And no, there aren't many trolls, people complaining, but for the most part they explain why they do so.

First off, I'm in the UK so I haven't actually played the game.

 

But...

 

Don't write off anyone with a complaint as a troll. Even if this is their first post on here, so what? From what I've seen, for the most part, people are complaining about clunky PC controls (especially in combat) and are clearly explaining what they think is wrong. That's not a troll - that's someone rationally stating a grievance.

 

That said, if you think it's well optimized for the PC, then I'm very glad. Personally I'll have to wait until Friday to judge.

I should probably take in account that the people who enjoy this game aren't on this forum, and actually playing it.

Or are just waiting a day or two to see if any other patches are coming out besides the Day One patch.  

 

Plus, don't forget about our friends overseas that can't play the game yet.  I've also been taking my time reading some of the threads and checking out the various bug reports.  

 

Most folks aren't being rude or deriding to the developers, so the feedback has merit.  I consider trolling when someone is just belligerent to everyone including other posters and devs.   There is a couple that fits that description, but trolls just happen.   So far, most of the players are just venting and there is some good points in there.  The mods could do to condense some of these threads though.

Well, um. I'm complaining because I can't get the game to start? Like, all I want is to love this stupid game and it won't let me :/ The game gets stuck as a background process and never opens.

I have a few solutions I'm going to try, but...that was hella upsetting last night when I was all excited and hyped up and then lel, no.

The problem is that ppl don't want DA:I, they want DA:O2. I want it too, but I've come to terms with the fact that it will never be another DA:O. I plan to enjoy DA:I nonetheless.

You also see us last-gen buyers complaining about a crappy port. Honestly, it seems that Bioware didn't care if it wasn't the next-gen console version.

My theories(wiled guess in here)...

-Some of them might installed game incorrectly(they might not turned antivirus off when they installed it).

-Some have these bugs for using VPN to get earlier in game.

-Some pirated game.

In the case of the last-gen complaints, there is a slight chance that it's actually disk copies that have the problem and digital downloads don't. That's still be confirmed though, so don't take that as fact yet.

Last gen you mean? As in the PS3 or 360 version? Then go to my thread and read the discussion, watch the youtube video somewhere in there, and post if your version matches the video or looks worse. We need digital owners of the last gen version to do that, it's the only way to confirm if the disk copies really are why some people's last gen copy looks so terrible.

I am sure there are people with legitimate problems. Some are caused by actual bugs, others by outdated drivers, weird region-locks or unfortunate software complications.

 

I am actually glad the game unlocks on Thursday in Europe. Time for Bioware and AMD/Nvidia to fix the worst bugs.

Not being rude, but this is bullshit.

 

The game is protected by DRM which hasn't been cracked yet. Same DRM as FIFA 2015 which is out for several months and not cracked yet.

 

So, no pirates here.

Can't tell what kind of bugs I will have until I get game(sine I'm unfortunate UK girl...well not much unfortunate it seems) and by time I get game to play most likely patch will come.
