Just as the title says with one big catch: I already imported a custom world state once before.

Okay, so I got the game. Installed it. Went to the Keep to make sure my world states were intact, which they were, and I imported one into DA:I. Then I started up the game and made my first character. It asked if I wanted to import a state, I said yes, and it did so without a hitch.

I played for a few hours, then decided I wanted to play with the character creator more. So I started another new game to play, but when it got to the moment when it was supposed to import a custom world state, it sat there searching for a minute or so, then said there were no custom world states. It assigned a default.

So I went back onto the Keep to make sure that I was still signed in and everything was in order. My custom state was still there and it said it was uploaded, which it is because I've already used it once. I decided to try importing my other custom state instead, thinking maybe I couldn't use the same one twice (tho that would make no sense). It still said there were no imports available.

FYI: I'm on PC with a physical copy of the game, copied in through the Origin client.

I'm having this same problem. My DAkeep is fine but I always got default world state. Does your origin account have to use same email as your PSN for them to be together?

Try to export your world state on the website. It should replace the default world state in your game.

Is the default have female Dalish and Alistair and Anora as canon? I think I forgot to export and got screwed over.

In my case, my edited world state in the Keep is called "default world state". Like I took the world state and edited it without changing its name. I don't know for sure, but it's possible that the default world state you're looking at is the one you edited.

I have the same issue. I made my first character Monday night, imported my custom world state, worked fine, played a few hours and got off. Yesterday, I decided I wanted to make a new character, same reasons original poster had, and it wouldn't import. I also had renamed mine in the DAKeep My State Man. I have tried again tonight, multiple times, checking dakeep in multiple browsers, with and without game open, restarting, etc. Still doesn't work. So, yeah, it's not working for me either. lol Almost like they only want you to play DAI with a custom state per character or only one custom period, or something. I dunno.

EDIT!! OKAY. So, I messed around some more just now and I got it to work. I logged into the dakeep, went to the tapestry, and went to something simple, like legacy dlc for example, and changed a small choice. Saved it. Then I changed it back and it saved it. So now its back to normal, but has been changed technically lol. Well, i went back and clicked Import to DAI and closed the browser. I reopened the game and bam. Worked fine on a new character.
