This thread was made to hopefully limit the discussion of the ending to one thread as opposed to the other, multiple threads currently going about; many people don't even HAVE the game yet, so whilst discussing other stuff is all cool, spoiling the ending out of nowhere on them, not so much. Try to keep it contained here until at least the 27th, when the Japanese get the game. Thank you.
So, feel free to discuss the ending here, and enjoy the rampant speculation on what it all means.

Okay in the epilogue, what is said since you think Solas is the dread wolf? Does he speak out that he is called that or what do we base this on?

We base this on the interaction he has with Flemeth in the epilogue scene + all the little tidbits scattered throughout the game (i.e. the room he is located in Skyhold having wolf paintings all over the walls, asking Varric if there are any trickster gods/ancestors in dwarven culture etc).

Okay then but could you please describe what exactly happens in the epilogue? What do Flemeth and Solas say. because knowing Bioware, it isn't a certainty that he is The dread wolf. If we only base in on what happens and is said in the ending/epilogue then what. What happens/is said exactly?

I think should start talking about the ending. Since this is an spoiler thread, I don't think I need to use spoiler tags, do I?
Anyway, from what I saw, it seems Corypheus found an old god and corrupted it, turning the dragon in an archdemon. You can notice it's soul jump to Corypheus once the Inquisitor slays it. And then the Inquisitor banishes Corypheus to the fade, wich is pretty smart I suppose, otherwise, we would be just starting an new blight, right? Wich leaves me thinking, what now? There is only one old god left now.

We have to deal with Solas and this whole Flemeth dead arc...thing now. Not to mention a possible Qunari invasion in the near future. There's plenty of directions for Dragon Age to go in that doesn't involve dragons and/or a blight.

Flemeth calls him "Dread Wolf" in the scene.

Can someone reveal what big things happens during the storyline. Besides meeting Corypheus who was the first of the darkspawn, do you encounter any deities/ancient demons/gods whatever. I know you see Andraste, but besides that.......I can image that you go to the fade a lot of times so you must at least encounter something interesting there?

Does anybody else know the elves have the right religion then? Will it be a secret?
In future dragon age games people will look foolish with their chantries worshipping Andraste etc. They may not know, but we the players do.

That Fen'Harel exists doesn't mean he's a god. And even if so, nothing says more than one religion can't be right.

Alright since you guys passed it then hopefully someone can confirm or deny the rumor about Hawke being captured by templars/mages and having to choose to save Hawke or a Warden (Stroud, Alistair, Loghain)

I don't mind it either, especially since BioWare hasn't really done a "main villain is a companion/good guy" arc since Jade Empire, I believe.
It puts my mind at ease regarding all those complaints about the main plot/Villain in the reviews. I'm not saying this means the plot is suddenly going to be amazing but it's good to know that it is more complicated than "save the world from the obvious cartoon villain with an obvious evil plan". The whole "Villain wants to become a god" is in itself an over used fantasy trope so I am glad there is more to it than that.
