Thanks!
Has anyone tried them? Any improvements? I will be able to try out only in two hours...
This update greatly improved cutscene performance. They play much, much more smoothly, still locked at 30fps though.

I did find up date but after I loaded it the game said it was not correct and made me role it back the old one CTD with DX problems
When was this released?
When was this released?
Today.
Good, because the last driver I installed broke DA2, so I'm giving this one a try...
Frame rates saw a huge improvement, but I get random flickering on terrain and shadows in places.
New driver made things better but I still had a couple of the same bugs I had yesterday and my game still had the DirectX bug crash at the same time in the game. So it didn't fix whatever those issues are.
Can anyone confirm that you need to do a restart for the changes to take effect? I was trying the new drivers this morning (in a hurry before I left for work) and was too lazy/hurried to do a restart. I thought I saw an improvement, but not a really consistent one... but maybe it was just a placebo effect.
I kind of feel stupid now, but wouldn't mind it if it meant there's a decent chance things might actually run OK when I get home and boot up fresh. ![]()
Dunno, I am running on a GTX 760 and I5-4570k and I get the same low 15-30 FPS on lower graphic settings, as I did before I updated my driver and rebooted the PC.
I might have to return the game while I can, because I sure as heck can't play it =(
Last night my benchmarks were average fps was 50 and minimum was 40. This morning after the driver update it was 53 and 43. Decided to turn on MSAA x2 and it was average of 45 minimum 37. Settings are a mix of ultra and high on an AMD FX-8350, Geforce 770 4 MB VRAM, and 16 MB system RAM.
every driver or software installation a good old restart is advisable
Yea big changes from last night with new Driver.
the old driver was better for me, higher fps, i dropped 50s-60 to 20s-30, so i am lowering things.
My SLI got switched off after installing the new driver, could this have happened to you maybe?
after using new driver the screen disappears lol

just checked, and that did happen. ty for the pointer, didn't think to check that ![]()
I am still in the first area and the new driver seems to have caused some stuttering when turning and looking at different things. I got an average of 49.3 and a low of 40. I am running a i7-4770k (slightly overclocked on a ASUS Maximus VI mobo), 16 gigs G.Skill ram, EVGA GTX970 FTW 4 gig, and its installed on a Samsung 840 Pro SSD... Does the frame-rate seem right? I think I'm going back to the older drivers and test the benchmark again.

Well, depends on your graphics settings. I get 30 to 35 FPS on the Ultra preset with disabled multi-sampling on a 660Ti and about 27 to 32 FPS with the vanilla Ultra preset (2xMSAA I think).
If you have the same settings, your 45 to 50 sound reasonable.
No change with the older driver; all within 40-50. I forgot to mention I am running everything on Ultra (default). I am looking at other things like mouse DPI and sensitivity that could mimic some stuttering. I will tweak things (graphics) and see how it goes. I already have the community fix for the 30fps cut-scenes in place. I might as well use the latest driver too as I am thinking there would be a benefit at some point. Thanks for the reply count_4.
The micro-stuttering due to accessing the HDD during gameplay persists for me, although it appears to be more rare (?).
