Bumping this. Wish PC UI issues were limited only to that though. Please make the character follow enemies after ordering him/her to attack. Please?

I find myself almost unable to play anymore, as much as I want to.
Coming out of the prologue(No spoilers), you're basically in a very casual situation where running would be a thing absolutely no one would do...So yeah. It's ridiculous and I can't play like this..I honestly don't know how anyone can.

and when to pick up something and he is too far away THAT THIS IDEOTIC CHAR should move and pick it up ... not that I have to RUN this one step, stopping too far away on the other side and once again he didn't pick it up !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Although given how much I want to play the game and how unlikely a patch will be, I am wondering if it might be easier to just start running everywhere in real life, and then making it less immersion breaking in game.
Running at the market, running as I hold my coffee, running in the office...I'll see how it goes.

It's almost comical how every single work around is basically blocked by the game.
Best solution for me would be to plug in a controller and use my left hand to control the joystick while the right hand controls the mouse. This would be acceptable for casual scenarios, and then I'd just put the controller down in combat.
But no, we HAVE to use one or the other. This is 2014, I don't know why there are these strange limitations like this still in place.
Then, of course Frostbite has to be completely locked down and there's not even an input config we could possibly edit.
The only things left are virtual joystick(which won't work well at all due to the first issue I addressed, Im assuming at least), or Macros. I'm not familiar with either, but if someone is please PM me or post here because I'll try anything.

I agree the game needs a walk toggle option for keyboard, as not everyone uses a game controller.

I usually don't care much about slow walking but since the running is kinda fast and is kinda clunky I surely sign this, eh, "petition"

I was looking for a walk button myself, apparently it doesn't exist though. Thanks bioware (not).

Aware of requests to have a walk toggle as well. Under investigation.
OH PLEASE! That would be fantastic, please Mr. Laidlaw.
I hope this happens, and soon!

That is really nice to know. Now I can start playing knowing and hoping that one day my play can become immersive.

Agreed. At least it gives me some hope that my second playthrough may be a lot more immersive and less of a hassle than my first will be.

Agreed! Whenever I'm sprinting around Haven I feel like such a douche. It's like I'm calling out to all the NPC's walking next to me, "HAH, I'll race you! HAHA I beat you! HAHAHAHA I'll race YOU TOO. HAHAHA Made it to the steps first! OOOH FIRST into the chantry suckaaz!!!". Thank you Mike for acknowledging!
