I got a refund, I said  "No walk, no play, no buy". If they add walk toggle button I'll rebuy.

There must be.  Apparently PC gamepad user can walk.  At least, that is what I read earlier.

Oh - and consoles.

Well, I'm no programmer, but if the animation exists in the console version of the game, then it is available in the pc version.

That means it's one of 2 things: oversight, or deliberate.

I remember when I walked out of the house you wake up in after the prologue, and there's all these people standing to the side of the path and going "where the FFFF is my walk button!?"

It's in the game, you can walk with a controller.

I have the feeling it's stupid oversight. Not sure how Bioware didn't think people like walking in RPGs though....

It's sure not the biggest problem but ...

Exploring those wondefull dungeons in the dark using a simple torch is immersive ... much more when you are RUNNING all the way. Thanks god, they removed all traps (common to RPG games) .. err I hope so ... I wonder how long it will take to make a tutorial video on youtube to show you how amazing is the detailed frostbite engine seen as the speed of light ? Fortunatly, you've got the Pause button on the player to appreciate those detailed textures/shaders and so on ...

I forget to talk about the tactical side running ... coz always running in dungeons it's a must have, you don't have to prepare your attack you are yet facing the ennemy. No waste of time ! that was the main glorious idea of the decade in the game industry. Ok, I know, you can always use your tactical option button to go to slow motion all the way ...

Be kind, Bioware, hurry up for that simple walk/jog/run patch.

I could use my 360 controller for walking but when I heard how annoying it is to switch back to keyboard and mouse, forget it. Also, only 4 skills up at all times, compared to 8 when using a keyboard, no thanks.

Yeah, that's what we said earlier in the thread. It is one of those. And neither option paints the team in a good light.

It is inexplicable that it was missed. And that it was deliberate is equally hard to accept.

I was SURPRISED I CANNOT WALK!! in this tech-AGE of RPG gaming!?

For example... Prior to a Cutscene that continues to my character walking, the running beforehand is IMMERSION BREAKING!

How hard is it to make a WALK BUTTON... we don't all play on CONSOLE STICKS!? lol

I think, pc users got low priority. And also I think, all this stuff coz of new DRM sh*t. It means, that "pirates" now can do nothing. How many people playing in non-license/cracked games? More than you can imagine. It's millions. So maybe they thought: "Oh, look, pc users sux, let's make DAI for consoles only, but also get paid for PC bug/sh*t/undone version, our fans will eat this, like always."

The running is way too fast and jerky.
Please add a walk toggle.

"Look Dan! The new Walking is out! Here's a good article; "Putting one foot in front of the other!". Walking is a no-brainer, I'm in ;)

Lets hope that Bioware includes this in the first patch, if not the second.

This was present in DA:O, how is this not included is beyond me. Breaks the immersion (almost as much as the fucked up mouse+keyboard control setup).

In addition to the immersion factor, moving around outside of combat has a somewhat herky-jerky feeling to it that gets annoying when I'm trying to find NPCs or objects, or just looking for the best path to wherever I'm going.

Aware of requests to have a walk toggle as well. Under investigation.

UNDER INVESTIGATION??? There is nothing to investigate, this get it done! I am no programmer, but I am pretty sure this would take a "Competent" coder no more than an hour to implement.

It's a stupidly lazy oversight that should never have happened, Bioware!

They probably assigned the task of Pc controls to a junior developer who has no experience playing previous DA games. and by doing this....by giving us a pathetically flawed PC control set, the ENTIRE GAME EXPERIENCE is ruined to hell!

This gets me so angry because it is like running a marathon, being in first place and 10 feet before the winning line, decides to stop to take a dump.
