I have been a die hard DA fan ever since the original announcement many years ago. I fought in the fields and wastelands of DAO and the deeproads and repetitive environments of DA2 and I never EVER expected bioware would remove the type of controls that make classic RPGs like Origins, Neverwinter nights, kotor, etc...
Yes, I am referring to the ability to click on a target and have a character move to attack, the ability to have your character automatically navigate an environment with a click of the mouse, or even just the ability to navigate with a mouse. For me this is game breaking (I really do not want to use a controller for a game like this). I spent 2 hrs with the game last night (would have been more, alas I have to work.) and I am having an insane amount of trouble adapting to these controls. At the beginning of each battle I would sit there clicking on a target only to forget that my rogue will not do anything... WHy does an attack icon show when I highlight an enemy if I can't actually attack it?
Please Bioware, remember Dragon Age was created to be a spiritual successor to the likes of Baldur's Gate. Do not forsake those whom have supported you from the beginning.
Currently a very heartbroken DA fan...
