Hi everyone,

Since the previous topic on last-gen was locked (I understand why, it was going clearly off-topic), I wanted to leave here a video I finally found to show how the game looks on the XBOX 360 (I still didn't upgrade my console, so I'm probably buying this version next week):

It looks like the hair looks, indeed, plastic and bright, but the rest of the game looks ok. In the cutscene with Varric (around 8:00) he doesn't look worse than he did in DA2, and in general the game graphics are clearly better than DA:O. So it looks like there's not really a reason to panic, although it would be great if a future patch fixed the brightness on the hair (facial hair especially).

In case you are wondering, the 1st video of this gameplay...

(character customization is here) ...shows this game is being played with the disc, not a digital download (check the first few seconds).

Anyone is playing on XBOX 360? Are you having pretty much the experience shown here in these videos?

*Please let's try to keep this thread about 360 only, the previous thread about last gen consoles already had a lot of comments regarding the PS3 version. Thanks.

The combat and the environments don't look so bad in the 360 version.  My personal gripes are the face textures.  That's pretty much it.  I would have thought that the final version would have face textures on par with Da2.  It would have been cool, if the textures were better during conversations only if it was about graphic power.  I would have gladly waited a few seconds for a conversation scene to transition.

Those vids have been posted many times for the last couple of days actually. In fact, that was the very first video of the last-gen versions. The PS3 version videos actually came after.

I am wondering how many features are missing in the 360 version, even though Bioware said the character creator and gameplay would be identical to Xbox one.

Hopefully the inability to put scars on your characters is the only missing feature.

Hopefully but I would of thought that it would of been noticed in testing, if something as obvious as that can be missed what about other things in the game.

You assume it was an accident. More likely it was intentionally removed because the physical indents appearing on the skin took too many resources... Or something.

I am not assuming it was an accident, I believe they intentionally left it out and then lied about their being no difference between systems.

Bioware said their is no difference, but we now have proof so like you was saying what else has been cut out of the game.

And of course, Bioware posters are totally silent about it.

The Dragon Age official twitter who said there is no difference with the character creator and gameplay between systems is also quiet about enquires about what else might be different.

Ok, sorry about that, I did a search on this forum with "xbox 360" and didn't find anything. Maybe in was in a different section, or they used different words... or the search tool is not working properly.

Anyway, if Bioware says there should be no differences in the character creation, does it mean we'll get the scars in the previous gen eventually? Not that I care much about it, just curious as to whether there's an official post about it or not.

My biggest problem with the PS3 version so far, I'm not out of the prologue yet, is that the text on the dialogue wheel and menu is so tiny I can barely read it.

Really? The text is perfectly readable to me in this Youtube vid of the PS3 version, and that's at the smallest video frame size.

Same on my Xbox 360. I can't read most of the text, including the 'Loot' text. Sigh.

When I first began the game I was like "Phew I was so scared it would look like crap" because it looked pretty good. Then came the extreme lightings and it made the graphics blurry. I got a headache while playing through the prolouge. But after that was over and the lighting got less dramatic, it looked pretty okay again. However, the graphics look like DAII graphics, outdated.

And just to let you know, I was still playing my PS2 games and happy with those until about 5 years ago. I was WAY behind the times and never cared about graphics. But these graphics.......eeeeeeh. They're a bit blurry and sometimes things clip through clothing. When it's bright out, the characters' faces turn white.

I'm seriously considering getting a PS4 or Xbox One just to play this game. I'm going to wait a bit though, and continue playing the 360 version.

Is your XBox old or relatively new?

It's an older model. I have the white one that came with Kung Fu Panda and Lego Indiana Jones. But it's still going thanks to being kept on its box.

The only content that is different is graphics as far as I know. It should be same game across all platforms. Also my words are a little small, but not to bad. I wonder why haha

I was shocked to see how the graphics were and how blurry the character's faces were. For a second I thought "Am I playing some unfinished beta version of the game?" but then I realized oh wait that's right previous gen version. It bugged the blight out of me seeing Leliana and Cassandra's faces so blurry and under detailed. And the small hints of lag. Ugh. It was like I was playing the game on a old computer. I don't know how it looks on the newer gen but I bet its alot better then the previous gen sadly.

So how long are your load times? Because it's killing me how long it loads. Around ~40-50 seconds.
