My rig:

Graphics: Radeon Sapphire 7870

you should be getting higher fps with your hardware. have you tried running some benchmarks to make sure it's not a problem with your computer?

Last time I checked, it was 60 frames on Shadow of Mordor, with a mix of high and ultra settings (I think I had medium for the grass though)... Maybe something happened since then? I was playing SOM last night and it played fine...However, I did notice some screen tearing that I never noticed before.

Same problem here, my rig:

Core I5 3350P (4x 3,1Ghz)
GTX 660 2gb
8gb ram

Since I pretty much meet the recommended requirements, I was epecting a solid 60fps experience at least on high settings.
But nope, my average fps is around 45 and sometimes goes even lower.
I swear, if this has something to do with the Denuvo DRM...

P.S.: I have the latest Nvidia drivers.

@Durix, try living with 14 fps. 45 is still better than the consoles. XD lol

the game doesn't use denuvo drm. denuvo is only used to encrypt the .exe to prevent people from tampering with it. the only drm it uses is origin. btw: why would you expect 60+ fps on high details on 2-3 year old hardware? i'm not saying that optimization is great but it certainly isn't bad either.

What happens when you lower the resolution to let's say 720p?

EDIT: Lowering the resolution will improve fps if your GPU is bottle necking. Fewer pixel means you don't need as much GPU power for good framerates. However, if your CPU is your bottleneck, then lowering the resolution won't help performance.

In SOM lowering the resolution did away with some screen tearing, the game plays fine other than that. So I 'm not sure why I cannot even play DA:I on high... It is strange, since I meet the recommended requirements... I will try lowering the resolution in DA:I and see if that helps...

Turning the in game resolution down made things worse (not sure why). I was playing on high settings, and it was going pretty good, so I thought why not try just the textures at Ultra? So when I went to exit the game (so the changes could take over) the game froze on the main title screen. It does this at random, whenever I try to exit to the title screen no matter the graphics settings that I have applied.
