Everything seemed fine with DAK. The World State I used for DAK is the correct one, and it said it imported correctly at the beginning of the game, matched up the date as well.

However, after a small conversation with Lelliana she mentions the Warden as a "she" when I had a male warden and a god baby. Played on another hour to Redcliffe, got the codex entry for the Hero of Ferelden and it is displaying the Warden as a Female Dalish ultimate sacrifice.

My keep is displaying everything 100% correctly, I confirmed it was the world state I wanted. And so what? I played 8 hours into DA:I only to figure out that the import didn't work correctly?

Why the hell wasn't there a confirmation of what the world state had in-game before you started? This is absolutely ridiculous, I knew the Keep would only cause problems.

Is there any console commands I can even use to rectify this? I don't even want to keep playing DA:I anymore because of this crap.

Female Dalish? Yeah, that's the basic default. You definitely got a bad import. There really does need to be a way for the game to tell you if it worked or not.

The game should just display some of the choices you made in the keep imo, don't know why they didn't do that

I don't even know why. I matched the import save times, reviewed everything. Hell, I'm staring at it right now and everything is 100%.

In DA2 they had a list of the save states pop up how hard would have been to have the same thing in DA:I?

This is absolutely ridiculous, all the time I spent on that piece of crap Keep system and the games and all the choices in Witch Hunt are going to be inconsequential. I'm about ready to redeem that Great Game guarantee on Origin. It's is absolutely nuts the amount of problems I've had with this game.

Everything appears to be good on the keep, but nope.

I have the opposite problem. When talking about the Warden, Leliana said he, rather than she, as it should have been. Everything else seems to have imported correctly so far, though.  Not that I've been able to check much.

I noticed last night that Varic keeps calling my Hawke a "guy" even though she was a she.  Checked the Keep, and yup, ol' Marion Hawke is there, so it looks like something got messed up in the import.

I agree that there should be some kind of check so we can be sure the import takes properly.

Leliana never mentions the warden to me. She always goes on and on about the Divine..

One way to do that is to load the playthrough ws into the tapestry and look at what it says (doesnt really help but it lets you check what else might be wrong)

Leliana mentions she writes to my Warden for advice, but he never responds(my Amell Warden romanced Morrigan, did the Dark Ritual, and went through the eluvian with her)I haven't gotten far enough to meet Morrigan yet (stuck running around the Hinterlands completing side quests  when I should do the main mission). But hearing Leliana telling me she writes to the Warden gives me hope that my world state was imported successfully. Also hearing Loghain is a Grey Warden, Codex saying Bhelen is king, Alistair and Anora are married increases that hope.

I've yet to note a reference of previous actions, so I'm not sure yet. HOWEVER, the site where you do that stuff isn't reading my previous info from the 360 (my save is still there, I checked), and I only have 2 characters (I finished the game with one of them). I've had to recreate everything by hand as best I can recall because its not collecting anything.

It collected a little from the 2nd game, but mainly just the way Garrett looked. I had to recreate the majority of what happened in the game by hand again.

I'm not even sure if the worlds are being saved on there, there's nothing to click to make sure its saving for sure.

So the system that was supposed to make sure the decisions are imported correctly is importing wrong decisions? Lovely.

I had this problem, too. I imported my Keep's "Custom World State" (even though I named mine). About 12 hours into the game, Varric said Anders left Kirkwall and disappeared. I looked at the "Hero of Ferelden" codex entry, too, and it said Dalish. My warden was a female Cousland.

The disappointment... 12 hours in!

I double checked my Keep, exported again, and rerolled. Ugh.

Worst part is that I won't know if the new one is correct for hours.

Why is there no summary on Keep import? This is such a basic step, especially considering you can make multiple world states. And why does it always say "Custom World State"? Displaying the names we assign is another basic thing. The import system needs serious work to avoid players wasting their time.

I started a Topic about this issue (two days ago now) that went largely ignored, although there were some initial responses.  Fortunately for me, from speaking with Varric in Haven (early on), it at least seems that my import is correct (with the one possible exception that he referred to Hawke as "guy").  That being said, my thread can be found here:  http://forum.bioware...minor-spoilers/ if anyone cares to view it or provide any feedback.

You can check your world state early on in Haven (though not 100% sure) through conversations.

1) You can ask Varric about Hawke's companions, from this you can know

    - If Anders alive (he would not be mentioned if he is dead)

    - If Hawke's a mage (he would mention Carver, but not Bethany, if Hawke is a mage)

2) ask Leliana about the Warden

    - If your warden is a female one, she would use 'she'

    - If your warden romanced Leliana, she would mention this

3) ask the Quartermaster something like 'how she end up here'

    - she will mention who is the ruler of Ferelden and the fate of Loghain

I was thinking the same thing as I was going through the character creator. I can't check mine since I took advantage of EA's refund policy, but I wouldn't be surprised to find out that it incorrectly imported my stuff, too, especially since I already had the bug where they kept referring to my male character as a woman (and I wasted about an hour because of that). Hopefully they end up patching something into it so 1) it works properly, and 2) you can actually see what's being imported in the first place.

On my second playthrough now and trying to import data from the keep, but it won't do anything. I always get default world state. Any suggestions? Ty!

The whole Anders disappeared thing happened to me too; so unless Varric is taking in euphemisms (or it refers to a mage!Hawke literally blasting him so hard he gets atomised) then the Keep import is bugged for me too.

Didn't really notice anything with the Warden but I got a problem with Hawke. Varric told me something about what Carver currently does. Problem is, Carver is dead. Bethany is the remaining sibling and the Keep does state that correctly.

Can't wait to see what future ****-ups are lurking in that regard. Knowing my luck anything related to Morrigan and my Warden will be messed up.

edit:

Also, come to think of it, the relation between Hawke and Merrill seems off. Varric said she's off to help other Elves when she should have stayed with Hawke. But maybe that's intentional.

While the Keep allows me to change the names, it never remembers them; it always goes back to the default after repeated changing the name, exiting and restarting the keep, DA:I (PS4) etc.

After it ignored my choices on my first play through, I decided it probably never was going to work for me, so I just gave up on it since it wasn't worth the time/effort. And like many AAA titles with problems, we never know the patch priorities or who is in charge of it. Like DA:O at some point they will just stop fixing things. Fortunately for us the modding community was able to fix a lot in previous versions. However, with the new Frostbite engine and EA's policies, we may not see much modding available which is why I opted for the PS4 version of DA:I–at least I don't have to contend with Origin and the stupid DRM.
