I said this in almost all the negative topics i saw and making a thread so that people that dont have the game in their hands yet can settle down and not be swayed by all the negative posts since launch.

Its not a game problem that people are having. Its a controls / graphics problem.

Its gonna take you well over 3h to get used to the new mechanics (which i admit are very different from anything seen in past bioware games) and you'll need a lot of tweaking and tries with the graphics settings untill you get it perfectly running for your machine (talking about PC ofc).

Once you get throught that hassle you can finally get to enjoy and see the wonders of the game.

People are just way to impatient and not willing to give it a shot. They just look at flaws and instead of trying to work around or adjust it, they just go meatballs bashing on the game. Whine whine whine. Paraphrasing the famous words - "If you drink more wine, you'd whine a lot less" Whiners need to have that as their ringtones.

Dont expect an easy start thats all I'm saying. It can be quite disheartening at the beggining if you dont take your time to learn the controls and making the graphics to your performance needs. Once you get through that, buckle up. The true game will begin. Im completely lost in Hinterlands just doing sidequests and I'm not even worried that the advisors are waiting for me to progress the story. Im loving to take my time getting to know and interfere in the problems of Hinterlands.

If you havent played the game yet, just take my words in consideration when you start your first playthrough and wait for your own opinion, dont trust the negativism seen lately in here.

Yeah, took me a while to get used to the controls.

I just rebinded the controls I didn't like personally and that was about half of them.

Also, strangely, my default graphic settings (everything to high but texture -ultra- and MSAA off) were the default the game picked for me and I had no issues with it. I don't even have the latest drivers.

I'm almost 50 years old and if I can learn the game you youngins can. :P

It is still awkward to me but I will get it eventually.

Since I like tactical games it's not a big deal.

If people want more fluid action, set the difficulty to Easy.

I don't know why they took away mouse-point walking though (console or engine I assume) -- that I admittedly miss.

Also, same here on the graphic settings. The game picked them decently. I turned FXAA to low is all and reduced Tess to medium. I haven't tried to push it as it looks and runs decent  on my recommended -spec (not high-end) PC.

Pretty much.
