Bioware don't listen to him, the game is awesome. Though I will say I'm playing with a controller on PC; unsure what it would be like if I was playing with a keyboard. The devs played with a mouse/keyboard on several of the playthroughs and didn't have as much of an issue as you seem to be having...
Severely Disappointed with DA/I

BioWare never once promised you it was going to be like DA:O or even DA2, they said they was taking elements from both games and adding further new elements.
By sounds of it you read and heard what you wanted and never once understood anything being told
That would be all well and good if there were actually elements from Origins in it.
It's DA2 evolved, which wouldn't be a problem if they weren't so deceptive about the whole thing in the process.

Emer,
The fact that your only rebuttle to my thread is to say. "Don't listen to him" is disappointing. I shouldn't have to go buy a controller to be able to play a game on a PC. The fact that I have a very good keyboard and excellent mouse should be the only accessories needed.
But thank you for your opinion.

It's a console game now...plug in your Xbox controller and make the best of it.

I love the fact that on the PS4, I can use the left and right trigger buttons to slow down or speed up combat in tactical mode instead of just the static pausing and unpausing.
Bioware you really have outdone yourselves with this game on the console. Bravo guys!

The PC version of the game is badly implemented, going all white knight isn't going to solve this,
People, this is how you win arguments. Establishing ones standpoint as fact AND showing all posible opposition as horrible lies.

I'm playing on a laptop that's 4 years old.....have not yet remapped the keys to my liking, nor have I fully taught myself the new control scheme.
I am having no problems playing, and I don't think it's the utter cr*p that the OP thinks it is.
Nor am I going to use one of my xbox controllers for this game.
I dislike tac cam, the lack of holding the mouse button to walk and pan, and having to keep pressing the v button to highlight loot (instead of being able to hold tab), also kind of dislike that my rogue won't follow an enemy she's attacking that walks away from her. Tac cam is my biggest gripe right now.
For me, so far so good.
I'm enjoying the game.

You are right in regards to the more than lacking kb&m controls, but his response is pretty par for the course of this thread...after all your entry post was pretty vapid in and of itself already.

Well, you don't have to go buy a controller. The game is playable with kb/m. You just don't like it. Let's roll back the melodrama a bit.

That's like saying I'd purchase arcade cabinet if I wanted to use a joystick. We would have purchase a console if we want to use a controller, PC is far better.
Controller is just input device, they're pretty good for certain things (one of these things as it happens is apparently DAI) and your PC doesn't think less of you if you plug one into it.

I'd wager that the OP is likely exaggerating but I'm not about to dismiss that this game is flawed given the initial overwhelming positive reaction to DA2 before it was it's flaws were picked apart.

i was with the OP att first, but after playing for a couple of hours having gotten used to the new control scheme and the way tactical mode actually works it is quite good, not perfect but better then i expected. The only problem i have had is with the zoom not panning out enough but that's a minor gripe that i can live with.

I'm really enjoying it so far. I'm playing on PC with a 360 controller and the only gripe I have is the occasionally stuttering during cut scenes.

More and More PC gamers play with a controller, Steam been pushing that like a mofo.
Which honestly.....I don't mind. Nice laying down playing on sofa, but than if I like using a mouse and KB on a high rezz monitor. Options are what PC gaming is all about in my opinion.
I don't find the controls to be that bad, just remap a couple things and it's fine. The tac camera could be better though.
